Hostel Memphis

I have stayed there before and would stay there again and recommend to fellow travelers. I enjoy having community spaces and events and the Cooper Young area of Midtown Memphis has plenty to offer if you are staying a little longer, I was just overnight on a coast to coast road trip. I had a comfortable, unfussy stay and felt nourished, clean, and rested for the next day of travel ahead.

I enjoyed my stay in hostel Memphis, I was there for 4 nights doing very touristy stuff so was nice to come back to a clean facility and room, it was just me for the majority of the stay so I basically had a private room which was cool ( one night there was one other person) Staff were cool, very friendly and would always speak when passing by. Location was the main problem for me, had lots of great bars and restaurants around hostel so that was brilliant for the evening however the touristic stuff was very far so I had to get quite a few Ubers as the buses in Memphis are Unreliable and the bus was about 15-20 mins walk! However this isn’t the hostels fault at all! It did the job for 4 nights and I slept well on all of those nights! I’d your in the area definitely worth a stay it’s cheap and is clean in a safe neighbourhood- went on a full walks in the evening in the area and felt safe and had no issues!

I am so glad to have found this place on Google Maps. I needed a place near my son's house near Midtown. The managers (Hazel, Miguel, and Jesse) are very nice, and this hostel is very charming and comfortable. It has every amenity needed, and it makes me feel like I'm at my grandparents' home of long ago. They help you know good things about Memphis, and the Cooper-Young District is one of the coolest places on the planet. And of course it is affordable. I will be a "regular".

The hostel was a great option for me. I needed a place to stay for about a month. It was conveniently located near my work, close to downtown, and in the heart of the Cooper-Young neighborhood. The room and restrooms were very clean and the other common spaces provide great opportunities to meet folks from around the globe!

Very good quality air conditioning at this hostel, the place is a fairly old building and quite worn but it's clean and welcoming. Staff are friendly but don't agree with them entering the room during the night. Location is near bars and a few shops but no where near downtown and public transport is very bad.

So good! And the hostel has a lovely cat named 'Cash". Right in the heart of the Cooper Young district in Memphis and super laid back, friendly, clean, and secure. We have stayed there a whole bunch of times over the years when in town, and we will be back!

Absolute gem! We stayed for just one night in a private room for 2 and felt its warmth and friendly, welcoming communal vibe at once. Hazel, Mylo and Alex are excellent custodians of the space and could not have been more helpful with our endless questions about the (amazing) neighborhood. AM coffee is plentiful and strong, and there are many spaces to hang out, work, and socialize. Highly recommend.
