Brumder Mansion Bed & Breakfast

I had that feeling of being watched all night. Then my husband woke up with bruised arms as if someone had grabbed him. The bruises were not there the night before when we were in the hot tub. When we checked out, I told the manager the house has spirits and, as if it was an everyday comment, he said it's been well documented.

Peaceful, atmospheric mansion with lots of history. Rooms were very quiet even on event nights, couldn't hear a thing. Great romantic getaway with a nice clean Jacuzzi and spacious shower. Breakfast service is excellent and home made. Would love to stay again!

My mother and I drove almost 5 hours from Minnesota to stay at the mansion for my birthday weekend. And it was well worth it.The owner, Inn keeper, little pups Ellie & Teddy were fantastic. Very personable, friendly and very welcoming. Happy to share stories about the home and otherwise. Felt like home away from home. From the complimentary wine, cookies and tea to the delicious breakfasts each morning. They even accommodated parking for the guests so we didn't have to park on street. The mansion was as gorgeous as it's rich history. We booked The George Suite which did not fail to impress. The jacuzzi tub was very relaxing. We were even visited by a couple of the gentle resident spirits whom still reside. Very at ease overall. You're just minutes away from good food and the antique shops. A beautiful old building with a ton of history. Everything is maintained perfectly. Kind of cliche, but it's true: You feel like you're stepping into the past. Tom and Tom are warm hosts and they do a wonderful job maintaining and hosting this historic location. I felt like I was at home (If my home was a beautiful old mansion. haha).

Lovely stay at this bed and breakfast. Very close to the Brewers stadium. Victorian house with very modern amenities. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable. Complementary wine and beer was a plus. In-room jacuzzi was very nice. Breakfast included a yogurt parfait and quiche, bacon, and a biscuit. Very nice with good service. Overall, would definitely return. No real cons I can think of.

My wife and I really enjoyed our first stay is this beautiful old home, and the warm hospitality from the Inn Keepers. Enjoyed the tour and fascinating background of the mansion from Tom, who thoroughly explained how everything worked. We stayed in the very spacious George Suite. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we loved how the room was decorated. The tea service, complementary cookies, wine and beer were nice, and the breakfast outstanding! The finishing touch to such an enjoyable stay was meeting adorable house pup, Ellie, who is so sweet, and loves being petted and belly rubs. We'll be back for sure!

Lower level was beautiful and loved the grand stairs. Our room was shoddy and the decor a poor 1920s imitation with broken fixtures in the bathroom. Needed some loving care. No coffee brought to our room as the other place and only met the innkeeper at check in and one of the owners at breakfast. Not much chatting. Breakfast was plentiful and good.
