Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown

I would rate it only half a star if that was an option. We will definitely not be staying at this hotel ever again. Our view faced an alley, and we were woken up at 7am from the sound of garbage trucks collecting garbage. Our room didn’t come with a microwave as listed, and we had to ask 3 times for them to bring us one. Broken furniture and No HOT Water! Not to mention their so called maintenance man looks like a 15 yr old kid! We turned the shower all the way hot and it was barely warm! We even went in the Jacuzzi that was literally no where near HOT or even warm for that matter. It was extremely disappointing. The only good thing is the location and that’s it. I guess that’s why the rates are so cheap.

This hotel was okay, price was right and is in a great location downtown. The original room smelled like someone recently smoked in it. A trip to the front desk and I was able to swap rooms. The new room however didn't seem to have a way to turn down the heat and the thermostat was showing it getting up over 80 making for a warm night! We also tried enjoying the indoor pool but it was unheated and a little on the chilly side for the kiddo. We were going to use the Hot tub but it was looking questionably cloudy and decided to skip it.

I will not be staying at this Hilton property again. Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing for several reasons. The parking garage was extremely tight, and it was inconvenient that Hilton cards could not be used to pay for parking. One elevator was out of service, and the others made concerning, unsafe noises, leading to long wait times. The hallways were in poor condition, with stained carpet and outdated, worn wallpaper. The entire property is in need of a modern update. While our room was spacious, it was also very outdated. There was visible damage to the door, cracked and peeling wallpaper, worn furniture, and the bed was not very comfortable. Most concerning, there was a carpet placed over a hole in the floor directly in front of the bed in the main walkway of the room. The only positive part of the experience was the front desk staff, who were friendly and helpful. Overall, this property did not meet the standards I expect from Hilton.

Positive: Location to our venue Negative: Cleanliness was a little below ok. A lot of light around the door, especially the bottom. We had to put a towel down to cover the bottom of the door to block the light.Not enough towels. The fact that I had to pay for parking ridiculous.

Our recent stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Downtown Milwaukee, WI. was very nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the General Manager, Michael, was very kind and friendly. This experience made for a very pleasant trip. Will definitely be back!

Good service, good location, but... You get what you pay for. Staff was really friendly, but upon arrival, we were told that they didn't have any king rooms (which we had booked online) available due to renovations -- so we took a double Queen. Not a big deal. I hope they renovate the double Queen rooms next, though. The floor our room was on was in desperate need of new carpet. While the room was very clean, it showed signs of previous neglect. Stains all over the wall by the door and some holes in the bathroom wall from things that used to hang there, for example. Shower took about 15 minutes to heat up, and when it finally did, it filled up the tub to about my ankles because it drained slowly. To top it off, the AC / Fan stopped working on the last night of our stay. Overall, you get what you pay for. Nice staff, clean, good location, but very clearly in need of renovations in many rooms.

The location was decent and close to the intermodal station. Rooms were clean but the furniture and carpet was dated and there were some stains on the carpet and sofas and nicks and whatnot on the walls. The breakfast in the morning was great. I think this could easily be bumped up to a 4 star if they would spend some time upgrading furniture.
