Hyatt Regency Milwaukee

The good ol' Hyatt... Sadly starting to empathize the "ol'" part. When there's a convention downtown, this has been the #1 place I'd stay at for the past 10+ years. Stayed there this past weekend, and it was nice, but although I had a checkout for Monday, I was ready to leave Sunday at 4pm because I was just not feeling it. I specifically told the front desk "You guys are great, but I don't want to stay here, I want to go home." I thankfully was charged a late checkout fee instead of the full day since I wasn't staying until Monday. The rooms kind of need an update, unless mine was just a dud. The TV partially worked (no guide or services like the welcome screen advertised) plus the power panel connected to it didn't work either, so no charging ports or plugging in the coffee maker. Maybe if all things worked, I would have stayed my full stay, but this place isn't wowing me as much anymore.

Dated hotel with rooms in need of update. Furniture, carpet, fixtures are certainly functional but show plentiful signs of use. Bed is comfortable and the room was quiet. Room darkening curtains do their job. Bathroom is small. Small mini-fridge. The hotel's location and various restaurants and large multipurpose rooms are the big plus. Within walking distance to various local restaurants and the convention center. Starbucks on site in the lobby area.

As a Globalist, this stay at Hyatt Regency Milwaukee was truly unforgettable. This was my first time ever being upgraded to a Presidential Suite, and it couldn’t have happened at a better place or with a better team. While the rooms are somewhat dated and could benefit from renovations, the exceptional hospitality truly shines and more than makes up for it, elevating the entire stay. A huge thank you to Mat, Seth, Donya, and the entire front desk team— you are the reason I always come back. We were celebrating my brother’s birthday and Valentine’s Day, and the team went above and beyond by surprising us with cakes and beautifully decorating the suite. Those thoughtful touches meant so much to us. Throughout the stay, the team consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Even with how busy Milwaukee was this weekend with multiple events, their hospitality never missed a beat. They even provided complimentary breakfast for all of my guests! Honestly, there is nothing more I could have asked for.Thank you, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee—you absolutely deserve 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Positive: "" Negative: My room was not ready at check-in time, the room was mostly old with noticeable wear and tear, sheets were cheap and uncomfortable.

It was quaint. I was able to relax given our hectic schedule. Staff was also warm to us. Very accommodating! We'll think about booking again in the future when we're in the area. The biz trip was fast - I hope we get to see more of the area next time.

Stay here yesterday for a Convention and the first three days go by very well and no problems. But on the last day Sunday, me and my sisters took our luggage to be hold at the front desk. Then came back to pick it up a few hours later. Us three have luggage being hold and all three of us came together. So, we were all there together and one goes first because we had a lot of luggage and don't want the front desk person to carry it all. So she helps the first person and then she just goes back to talking to the other front desk person like we weren't together and just standing there. It wasn't busy and there was a small line behind us and the same person goes and help them and skips us just standing there. Also, the vallet guy there just stood there and help some else. Like are we invisible, you don't see people standing there. It's your job to ask " Is that all or do you need any help" is it that hard???? Finally got the luggage an hour later. I have stayed at Hyatt many times, and this has never happened before.

This hotel IS NOT SECURE and NOT SAFE. I had my young daughters there for a volleyball tournament and there were a number of incidents- a man camping outside my daughters room, a domestic violence issue in the lobby women’s restroom that included a man who refused to leave the restroom, drugged up solicitors swaying in and out of the lobby asking for $. I’m from a big, culturally diverse, economically diverse city- The Hyatt Regency Milwaukee cannot and does not handle what the environment around them has become. You don’t need to either.
