This place is a GEM! Stepping inside feels like a summer escape to your stylish aunt and uncle’s stunning mansion. Every detail, from the vintage Kleenex box covers to the antique books, frames, china, and lampshades, is thoughtfully curated. Modern comforts like a water filtration system, private parking, and WiFi seamlessly blend in (but you’re sooo happy they’re available!).||Rick and Laura Sue are remarkable hosts, handling everything themselves—check-in, high tea, dinner, breakfast, even changing light bulbs. Please extend them grace as they are handling everything themselves- I had to check my fast paced city girl at the door;) This isn’t your typical stay; it’s uniquely special. ||Rick and Laura Sue’s stories and warm hospitality make booking a room with them a lovely and unforgettable experience. They even taught me the difference between high tea and low tea;) ||I would absolutely stay here again when I visit Milwaukee!

Schuster Mansion has become my family's yearly tradition. Yesterday was our fourth year having High Tea around the New Year and it did not disappoint. One of the owners; Laura Sue was full of hospitality and very informative. Giving us the history of the beautifully restored mansion, the family that built said mansion and the history of tea culture. The tea and food are homemade and delicious; I look forward to I sandwiched and scones with cream/jam it every year. I look forward to having a tea for my birthday in spring to try their other tea menus. Such a couple hours to spend with family and friends!

Beautiful victorian home, the owners go a long way to create a comfortable yet formal atmosphere. When you arrive as part of the check in process you go though a bit of an orientation about parking, getting in and out after hours and lastly choosing your breakfast and time to eat. We had 4 options. Then you are given a tour of the house before being shown to your room. We stayed in the Pias Suite. We were being checked in with another couple and the process took about 20 min. Laura Sue and Rick are very nice. Breakfast was delicious and ready when we requested. We had the Ham frittata and French toast with Pralines. Coffee was good. If you ever want to know anything about Tea Laura Sue is your person. They have a gift shop where we bought a mug and a selection of their high quality teas.

What a lovely stay I had at this inn! There’s so much thought put into every room. I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and was a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out perfectly fine — the bathroom was beautiful and everything was spotless. The location is easy to reach and with convenient parking right by the inn. There’s also a lovely garden where you can sit and relax, and the breakfast… wow! So delicious — crepes, bacon, fresh fruit, all kinds of tea, and more. It felt like such a treat. I also loved that I could take tea up to my room. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Laura Sue and Rick!

This was a delightful journey into the past. We had the pleasure of enjoying Molly's tea, and it truly was an exceptional experience. As someone who is gluten intolerant, I was thrilled to find that they were incredibly accommodating. The gluten-free snacks and pastries were not only delicious but also added to the charm of the afternoon. Every bite was a treat!

This was my first trip to Milwaukee and am so happy I stumbled upon this wonderful bed and breakfast. From the lovely hosts, coffee at my door in a china cup, and the intricacies of the old mansion, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. You can tell Rick and Laura sue take pride in their home and their guests experience!

Rick was plating breakfast as we walked through the kitchen, en route to the dining room. My friend immediately turned to me and said, "Dude, this is gonna be goooooood." Why are there no pictures of said art, masquerading as breakfast? See Exhibit A. In and of itself, the Schuster Mansion is truly an architectural gem. But what REALLY makes it is Laura Sue. Her attention-to-detail; the calculated, truly intentional décor. Everywhere you look, everywhere you turn, there’s something new to behold. Figuratively. Literally. And last, but most certainly not least, I would be remiss to not highlight the TRUE stars of this most excellent experience – Laura Sue & Rick. Tag Team Champions. From start-to-finish, a master class in the execution of excellence. So if you’re searching for place to bunk that is super-duper close to downtown, bang-for-buck with a personal touch, look no further than Laura Sue & Rick’s humble abode. THIS! Is the place.
