Absolutely perfect! I had a good feeling about this place before we even arrived and it delivered! I called ahead with a few questions and the gentleman who helped me was genuinely kind and easy to talk to and that really set the tone right away. It’s nice to show up to a hotel already feeling welcomed in advance. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed every moment. The hotel has that classic New Orleans character without feeling stuffy or overly polished like a big chain. The high ceilings of the rooms made everything feel open and grand, and the decor had so much personality without trying too hard. Breakfast with Kristen and Cheryl in the mornings were also a big highlight. They’re warm, welcoming, and made it feel a little more personal than your typical hotel experience. Overall, it just felt comfortable and authentic. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting something with charm in the Lower Garden District.

The great quality location and delight of Creole Gardens remains unchanged. I've been a guest there many times before, and I love returning. The Lower Garden District is a perfect spot for me - around the corner from the St. Charles streetcar (and Hoshun asian fusion restaurant, open until 12 midnight!). It's easy walking distance into the CBD and on into the French Quarter, and it's just a few lovely blocks over to Magazine Street and up into the Garden District. The bright color scheme and the local Nola art around the property are wonderful. The staff is attentive and sweet. I love staying here every visit!

Folks, this is not the Ritz. |I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and TCM would have loved it. That being said I can think of a few acquaintances that would have wanted to leave about the time they arrived. |The place is a maze of refurbished buildings around a courtyard w/ a central office and breakfast area. My room was part of the "bordello" series and was furnished w/ a mish-mash of assorted furniture. The bed was comfortable enough and I managed w/ everything there but a good comfortable chair would have been appreciated as would a table of some sort to accompany. The bed was comfortable and towels were 100% cotton. Extra towels, &c as well as "housekeeping" were available on request. |The folks were about as pleasant as possible and went out of their way to accommodate guests. Breakfast was very good w/ scrambled eggs and a side every morning along w/ fresh fruit, pastries, juice, coffee, &c. The location is good as it is only a block walk to the streetcar and slightly farther to the WWII museum. I walked to the French Quarter and the Superdome (albeit it was a long walk) w/o issues. |When you consider that parking is free and breakfast is included you have a great value. |Of course the question is "would I stay here again?" and, all things considered, I would do so.

Positive: Historic architecture. And breakfast. Negative: No.

I really enjoyed my stay at Creole Gardens. The staff is amazing - they really care about guest satisfaction and will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. I was able to do an early check in without issue and my room was ready on arrival. The room was clean, I walked around barefooted in the room and did not get jiffy feet. I am severely allergic to dust mites, had no issues with my allergies during my stay. The water pressure was great and the water got hot. The only things that would have made my room better are black out curtains - as the curtains were a little thin and let a lot of light in, however I came prepared with a sleep mask so it wasn't really an issue, and as a visually challenged individual, a makeup mirror in the bathroom would have been helpful. Breakfast was good - although meat was not an option on all days. The Lower Garden District location is perfect for sight seeing. Several amazing restaurants and museums within walking distance. Only one block from the street car.

We had such a fantastic time staying at Creole Gardens! If you are looking for that authentic New Orleans vibe right in the Garden District, this is the place. The hospitality started the second we arrived. We got there early, and not only did they hold our luggage so we could explore, but they also handed us a delicious local beer to take with us on our walk to lunch. That is how you start a vacation! A huge shout-out to the staff—Kristen, Cheryl, and Keith—who were so welcoming. They gave us spot-on food recommendations (we hit up Napoleon House and Dat Dog based on their tips, and neither disappointed). It felt like getting advice from friends rather than a concierge. Also, having parking available was a massive plus for this area. The breakfast every morning was delicious, but the real entertainment was the "Patches Saga." We got way too invested in the drama of trying to coax Patches, the local street cat, into his little heated house. It was the highlight of our evenings! We did run into a tiny spot of plumbing trouble, but honestly, what can you expect when you combine a gorgeous, historic mansion with the amount of rich food and booze we were consuming? It’s all part of the charm of staying in an old building in NOLA. We loved the personality of this place and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

I came to Mardi Gras as a last minute decision. It didn’t disappoint! Amazing location with free parking! Pastries, eggs and coffee for breakfast and great conversations with the staff ! Especially, Cheryl 🥰💗 She asked if I was able to get any throws, and then personally gave me 2 glass bead necklaces! She mentioned places to visit and really took the time to chat with me. This is more than a place to stay, it’s a great community of people who work and stay here. Thank you!
