Hotel de la Monnaie

Our experience was literally FLAWLESS! There’s no way it could have been any better. The decor, the intimacy, the mood…better than any place we’ve ever visited and we are travelers! SUSAN at the front desk was like an Aunt you go visit and she has all the love and joy to share. She took care of EVERYTHING and was very personable and made us feel as if we were the only guests. The gentleman who works at night recommended us to THE BEST burger joint (Port of Call) and was so friendly! The bed and breakfast atmosphere made it quiet but not stuffy, intimate but not small, personal but not smothering. Our suite was perfect and full of character. We loved the lack of the usual busyness of a big hotel. The location couldn’t be any more perfect. We will NEVER say anywhere else when in New Orleans! ❤️❤️

This place is awful, The room was filthy and missing several necessity’s, jacuzzi didn’t work!…Which is why we picked that hotel!Bed feels like a rock and the service was terrible. Would not recommend. Stay in Hammond or somewhere on the edge, much nicer buildings and cheaper. You will feel much safer as well, I had a homeless person not far outside the front entrance of the hotel come begging me for our leftovers… which I did give. Just expect that sort of thing as well

The room had carpet that was filthy. I took the extra blankets and laid them on the floor so didn't have to step on them. The pool was more like a fountain that you could sit in. I questioned how clean it was. The staff was attentive at times and snippy at others. So they would quickly attend to your request but other times even though they were helpful they were snippy The location was fabulous. Couldn't have gotten a better location. The bed and bathroom were clean other then the floor. To sum it up would I stay there again. Yes for the location and the price were very good. I would just put towels on the floor again.

It is kind of old, but the room is so good and they rent us free pans so we can cook inside the hotel(there is a gas range). It is like a air-bnb. There is 2 TV’s and the atmosphere is so good. There is a market near by so the location is good. There is a spoon and folk too.

This property isn’t a traditional hotel—it’s made up of timeshare apartments—but it works well for a stay in New Orleans. The building dates back to 1984, and the interior feels a bit dated, though everything was fine. There’s no breakfast, but the apartment has a basic kitchen, which is handy. The bed was comfortable, and there are lots of TV channels to choose from. The only downside was noise from the air conditioning unit above on the fifth floor, so avoid that floor if you’re sensitive to sound. The location is excellent—right near the river and just a short walk to the French Quarter. A convenient and practical choice if you want a central base with kitchen facilities.

The room I had was nice and small no complaints, check in was easy, I was there a lil early before check in time yet the room was ready so I appreciate that. I took a star away because checking out there was an somewhat older african american woman working that morning and it seem like I was inconvenience her, her attitude was awful, no smile, just terrible...she has to realized shes in the customer service industry. I will not let her define my stay because everything else was great
