Holiday Inn & Suites Overland Park-Conv Ctr by IHG

I stayed here as part of a school sports trip. The facility was nice, the rooms were clean, and the whole hotel felt well kept. I had a bag of trash from the school bus and I asked an employee in the lobby if I could place it in their dumpster and he actually took it out there for me. Overall a great experience.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was a little lackluster considering you paid extra for it, but kids under 14 ate free so that definitely made it feel more like I was getting my moneys worth. But what really sold this place to me was the staff, John and Stephen at the front desk were kind, helpful and welcoming. And the morning gal whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch went out of her way to come find me when she had accidentally misspoken and wanted to correct herself. Five stars for a wonderful staff

The staff was incredibly accommodating and genuinely friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was absolutely spotless, very well maintained. The location was also a big plus, situated right off the interstate, which made getting in and out quick and easy. Overall, a very pleasant and hassle-free stay.

I failed to geta copy of my food receipt from the onsite restaurant. I asked the next morning and a few more times during my stay. I have called, and emailed since checkout, no luck. No return calls or emails, even from the gm. I have never experienced such a total lack of customer care.

This hotel is one of the nicer ones I have stayed in recently. The room was clean, no bedbugs. Lobby and hallways were also clean and well kept. The room was a little musty on first impression but the heat was set at 73, so turning on the air conditioning took care of the issue. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, pointing me to a nearby running trail. There is a pool but no hot tub. The fitness center has nice dumbbell weight set, treadmills and bikes. It says it is open 24 hours. Pool closes at 10pm. The only thing I didn't appreciate is that they turned the breakfast bar into a "service" type diner. You cannot get your own beverages but otherwise it was a mediocre breakfast sampling, with oatmeal, yogurt, bagels,muffins, watery scrambled eggs, sausage, and I think cereal. There were no waffles. They give you a breakfast ticket thing but otherwise they charge $12.95 for the meal which is way overpriced. I would stay there again for a work trip or if going to the nearby medical facilities.

This place is great. We brought our dog because of the flat rate pet fee. The staff have been great, friendly and professional. The room is big, clean, great water pressure, plenty of hot water. Good parking and easy access to the highway.
