Santiago Resort - A Gay Men's Resort

I love the grounds at Santiago, as they have lots of palm trees, blooming plants, and fruit trees. Feels like an oasis. Having a free lunch available is wonderful, so you don't need to leave the resort to eat lunch. The breakfast is healthy and generous. The location is very convenient and close to everything in Palm Springs. The staff are very eager to please, and do an excellent job. Nice to have clothing be optional at the pool, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. I have been going there for years, and it only has gotten better.

Santiago is one of a kind. Other resorts try to deliver the same atmosphere and value, but fall short. Santiago delivers on facilities (always spotless,) staff (always cheerful and can-do,) and location. We have been regular guests over the last six years and will be returning again to enjoy the unique mix of quality accommodation, fanatical attention to detail, and mix of interesting and accessible guests that Santiago delivers. There are few exclusively gay venues that strive for top quality. Santiago is one, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The service and attention to detail are what stands out the most at this fantastic resort. Rooms are well appointed and simply and tastefully decorated. The pool, hot tub, fire pit, outdoor showers, dining area, and landscaping are immaculate and staff are constantly working to ensure that everyone is comfortable and satisfied. Daily continental breakfasts and catered lunches offer good choice and selection and are two meals you need not worry about during your stay. All of this positivity rubs off on the guests who, during my stay, were friendly and respectful. Santiago is a desert gem.

This was our second time staying at Santiago Resort, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. It truly feels like a place you come back to—not just a hotel, but a community. The staff is absolutely amazing, from the reception team to everyone working throughout the resort. They are welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind, always making sure you feel comfortable and well taken care of. One of the highlights is the daily breakfast, which offers a lovely and complete range of options, perfect for starting the day. The included lunch option—whether a sandwich or a salad—is a thoughtful touch that adds real value and convenience to the stay. The environment strikes a perfect balance: sophisticated yet down to earth. Most of the guests are friendly, open, and easygoing. Of course, you may encounter a few people who prefer to keep to themselves, but the overwhelming majority are warm, kind, and social. We’ve made amazing friends here, which makes the experience even more special. Santiago Resort continues to be a place we love and trust. We’ll definitely be back again next year—and we’re already looking forward to it.

We've been coming to this Resort for over two decades and each time we come we see more improvements. It is now evolved into a true FIVE-STAR experience in our opinion. From initial reservation, to check in, to the stay itself, and check out.... every employee treats us like special guests. Breakfast and lunch are included which adds to the value of the overall experience. Rooms are remodeled with high quality fit and finish. Each room is outfitted with its own 'split system' air conditioning and heating unit, which ensures comfort no matter what the weather (significant expense, for the hotel owner but creates peace of mind for the guest). The location itself is phenomenal with beautiful and spring views of the surrounding mounts. Privacy is insured with a giant hedge that surrounds the property. Special Thanks to Kent and Robert at the front desk, Sean in guest room services and Jonathan who serves up the best breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

We had an excellent week long stay at the Santiago. The staff was friendly, helpful, and two steps ahead of what needed to be done. The property was gorgeous and well maintained. Overall the resort promoted a vibe that was perfect for relaxing, meeting new friends, along with body positivity which I found in all exceptional. It will be tough to go back to a normal hotel after this.

Good theming and decor. Super clean property. Wonderful staff. Cute rooms, nothing was broken or malfunctioning. Lighting was consistent (I hate it when a hotel or resort has different temp light bulbs all over the place). The breakfast and lunch included in the stay are pretty good, way better than most places at that price point imo. The cantina is full of snacks and drinks and we definitely made good use of it. The trees and the giant privacy hedge are well maintained and I love being surrounded by plant life rather than sterile walls in every direction. It’s a pretty quiet resort, and I appreciate coming back to a mellow place after being out on the town, but it can get frisky if you want it to.
