Surf and Sand Seaside

Room was very clean and beds comfortable. We didn't use the pool during our stay but it looked very well maintained. Full kitchenette made everything so easy. I was a bit worried about staying at a smaller establishment but I'm so glad I did! We were in town for a funeral and I was happy that lodging was one thing I didn't have to worry about. If I'm ever back in Pompano I will definitely stay here again!

The owner canceled my paid for nonrefundable reservation less than 24 hours before check-in. I made a reservation online, credit card details were provided, my card was charged for the stay. Apparently she sent me forms I had to fill out agreeing to all sorts of fees for violations. Fine, as with any hotel, since it’s paid for, you fill it out on check-in. I wasn’t aware that she had sent me the forms and I did not fill them out on her timetable, which is not explained or warned of anywhere , so she canceled my reservation. Her response was I’m sorry if you feel this way. Do not stay here.

I stayed here recently and I must say this is one of the best in the area! The pool is always kept clean and the beach is directly across the street. They have a grill on the premises that you can use. I stayed for a few weeks and the guest were quiet at night and we even used the pool several times by ourselves which is rare when staying in a hotel or motel. The rooms are fully equipped so I was able to buy my own food which I had DoorDashed straight to my room. The bed is huge and comfortable. Anytime I needed clean sheets, towels or toilet paper, I just texted the number and got what I needed. During my stay I did enter the wrong door code several times and found myself locked out at 1am. Well, I called their emergency number and they were able to get someone to reset my code and get me back in. Communication with the staff is great! The place is well kept with cleaning staff on the premises several times a week. If you are looking for a "home away from home" feeling this one is it! I felt totally comfortable. The AC is very cold and I would rate this place an A+++++

I had a very disappointing experience at Surf and Sand Seaside. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. The owner/manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. Even the simplest questions were met with irritation and a tense attitude. His behavior was surprisingly disrespectful and completely lacking in understanding or hospitality. Because of this negative interaction alone, I would not suggest this place to anyone. There are plenty of other hotels where guests are treated with basic courtesy — unfortunately, this is not one of them.

The room was clean and very spacious. The location was great. Service was great, as long as you know what their policies are and when they will be at their location. The only reason I gave this location a 4 star instead of a 5 star, is that the bed. The beds in our room need to be replaced badly.

Booked this place a couple of months before our trip. Just before our trip, I was reading reviews that were very negative , I was very concerned, but upon arrival all fears were gone. What a cute hotel. Small, quiet, nice pool. Our room was spacious, clean, and updated. Great kitchenette . Slept great, quiet. They have a noise restriction after 8pm. Don't understand how one review said how noisy the place was? Would definitely return. Great location also, and unlike another neg review, the beach was easy access, not hard at all. Well worth it !|We were in room 6

I was very disappointed to get off my international flight to find my booking canceled less than 24 hours before I was supposed to arrive. I booked on booking.com, paid in advance, and apparently there’s all sorts of forms and agreements the owner requires you to sign and if you do not sign them on their timetable, which apparently is at least the day before, they canceled your reservation. Nowhere anywhere warns you about this. Forced to find a new hotel with an hours of check-in. Was really looking forward to my stay, perhaps I dodged a bullet.
