We had such a great experience at the 🏙️💛Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Downtown! The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and truly made us feel comfortable from check-in to check-out. The location couldn’t be better, perfectly centered downtown and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and attractions. The shuttle service was an unexpected bonus, especially convenient for getting around without the hassle of parking. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what you want after a full day of exploring. Would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Providence! 👏🏾✨
Positive: The shuttle driver! She was so kind and amazing! Took initiative to show us around and make our trip easy.Staff was awesome - he was able to provide an early check in after a very long red eye trip from california. Negative: The room config (508) was weird, what looked like a closet/mirror was an awkward space. The closet space small.
This hotel is at a great location and has an amazing staff. The shuttle service is super convenient and the driver is so friendly and knows a lot about the city. They will take you anywhere within 2 miles, and pick you up! Room was clean, beds were too firm for my preference. Breakfast was delicious! We did valet after seeing the parking situation around the hotel and did not regret it.
Checking into this hotel was easy but also a bit frustrating. I wanted to do a late check out but the person checking me in made it a bit difficult. Thankfully, I spoke to someone else the next day and it was settled. However, housekeeping did show up an hour early but they did not give us an attitude about being in the room still.||The lobby is big, with a lot of seating, especially if you come down for breakfast in the mornings. The provide coffee and tea all day and are very accommodating if you want some water. ||We were staying in a tower with the elevator in the back of the hotel. I liked this area because there were not a lot of rooms and it was pretty quiet in the hallways. However, the noise outside is kind of loud, with car seemingly street racing in the middle of the night. ||Our room was nice and spacious, clean and tidy. It did smell a bit of chemicals but I expect that in hotels of this level, most of them smell this way. ||The best part of this hotel is the shuttle. They will take you anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel, which makes going to uphill places very convenient. I would stay at this hotel again just for the shuttle. That's not saying the location is bad though. It's extremely walkable for most of the areas you'd want to visit in Providence.
We were so pleased with our stay here. The train station and Kennedy Plaza are both within walking distance so we were able to travel to a few other cities during our four night stay here. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. We were lacking body lotion among the room amenities, so after a quick text to the manager we had a new bottle delivered to the room within five minutes. The beds are extremely comfortable, although we found the pillows to be quite soft and mushy. The breakfast buffet was extensive and I had no difficulty finding gluten free options. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room as well an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Having a full length mirror on the closet door was a plus. We liked the added security of having to use a room key to operate the elevator.
Great location. Super staff. Clean and quiet room. Nice breakfast. Totally helpful parking valets. Local architecture is historical and interesting. Several restaurants, fine to rustic, are within walking distance
The hotel is old and nothing fancy, but it’s everything that solid hotels used to be. Spacious rooms, helpful staff, free breakfast. Room was well-stocked with everything I might need (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blackout blinds). The price was reasonable and it’s located right in the middle of Providence. I would happily stay here again!
