Holiday Inn Express Richmond - Midtown by IHG

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Richmond during a recent business trip. The hotel was located on Staples Mills Road, which was convenient for me as I traveled to and from the business site. The room was nice and comfortable. The best thing about my stay was a staff person. Paris greeted me and made sure that I was quickly assigned to a room, showed me where to find the coffee, and she helped me find my account number so that I earned points for the stay. She was pleasant and answered all of my questions. I was really pleased with the spacious room! When I checked out, Paris was also there. We chatted and she wished me well. I appreciate her!

I love this hotel. My son lives nearby and I stay here when I visit from Northern Virginia. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is excellent. I was checked in yesterday by Nicole and Cassie, who were very helpful and friendly. Hot breakfast is included and is nice. There is coffee available 24 hours. A great Willow Lawn location with lots of shopping and good eating nearby.

Stayed here for a month on business with the museum. From the second I walked in till I left it was a great experience. Staff was friendly and professional. The hotel from top to bottom , inside and out was always well kept. First time I’ve seen a rec room like this at a hotel. I told the two ladies at the front desk they need to start a company tutoring other hotels on how to conduct customer service. This place is top drawer in my book !!

The staff has been top notch since I arrived. Checked me in with ease. Always there to address any questions or concerns. And personalized experiences like with Eric (the gentleman with the Locs) making sure that a post work out breakfast is top notch - ask him about it on your next stay!

This place is Amazing. The front desk guy name Anthony is so kind, and helpful. The way he works, you'd think he was the GM....but I later found out he's isn't. But he should be. There is also two young ladies that work there as well that are amazing as well. One is name Paris, like France, and the other is Demi, like Demi Moore.. The food was hot and had a good variety of options. The bed was clean, big , and soooo comfortable..... This is definitely a great place as far as location and the staff takes the cake. If you're even in the Richmond area, this is the place for you and you family....the game room is so much fun, and they have a pancake machine that even a 3 year old can use...just amazing!!!

I stayed here last week for a conference I was at Richmond. Hotel parking is bit weird. There is no parking in the front of the hotel. Parking is in the back and on the side of the hotel. So security wise, it could be done better. But the parking lot was bit empty and lots of spaces to park and was well lit. Checkin process was smooth. Room- decent size room. Clean floors but realized that the bedsheets were bad-- spots all over them. I immediately flagged the cleaning staff and they came in and cleaned it up immediately. She apologized profusely but setup new bedsheets. If they improve the cleaning service, this could be a better hotel. Breakfast was good. Standard stuff.

Positive: easy check In and check out Negative: The customer service was awful, I wouldn’t recommend hotel nor will I stay again. Whoever was at the front desk at night I didn’t get their name was rude and we called to make sure we had a hour late check out; the cleaning lady and persons got a attitude
