Nestled conveniently just off the highway in the charming village of Richmond, Virginia, the Red Roof Inn offers an exceptional stay that truly exceeds expectations. From the moment I stepped into the meticulously decorated lobby, adorned with a warm and festive Christmas theme, I felt welcomed and at home. The front desk staff greeted me with genuine friendliness and professionalism, setting the tone for a flawless experience. The room was bright, spacious, and impeccably clean, embodying everything you expect from the Red Roof brand. It was fully stocked with all the essential amenities, including a television boasting over 100 channels, ensuring entertainment options for every guest. The fresh, inviting scent throughout the hotel added an extra layer of comfort and care. Its prime location, just steps away from fine dining and shopping, makes it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. The attention to detail, combined with five-star service and a spotless environment, positions this Red Roof Inn as a standout destination in Richmond. This hotel delivers a five-star experience that rivals luxury accommodations, earning my highest recommendation. Whether visiting for a quick stop or an extended stay, this Red Roof Inn is the epitome of quality, comfort, and convenience. Five stars all around!
Positive: The room was very clean. House keeping had done a great job of cleaning the room. The front desk staff was very friendly. Negative: The pillows. The kept the heat from my head. I had to move to get a cool spot.
I booked the hotel through Hopper as it was a Hopper pick. Big mistake. I was going to a New Year party so didn’t want to drive home after the party. I picked up key around 4 to bleach the room like I always do before bring my bags in. He room had a very stale odor and stains in bathroom. Ok I come back after the party and turn the lights on and the ROACHES scattered!! I immediately go to the night manager and tell him I am not staying with roaches. He said all he can do is offer another room. I told him roaches don’t stay in one room. Hopper and hotel refuse to refund me.
I realize this is red roof and not the Marriott but the state of my room is horrible. Shower barely gets warm. Light fell off the wall. Nearly no channels on the TV. The staff seems nice but I reported the problem a ton of times and their solution was to move the bed on top of the "burn spot" they said they'd come back to fix the light but never did. I travel to richmond all of the time, you can get so much more bang for your buck for a place like studio 6 in sandston. Would not suggest
For some reason the hotel gives me a room in another building which backs up interstate 95. IT MAKES FOR A VERY VERY NOISY night! They have heat in half the rooms & the other half with no heat is in the other building that backs up to interstate 95. I can deal with noise. But no heat! No way! And don't lie to me thinking I won't know if there is or isn't. WRONG!!!!
Front desk guy was super nice. 10/10 for friendliness and pet vibes. My dogs were treated better than me (and honestly, I get it). I stayed in two rooms, two separate visits: one had shower pressure strong enough to power-wash a car, the other… not so much. The fridge leaked like it had secrets to tell, and both rooms had a vintage "smoked in since 1982" scent that did my allergies dirty. Bonus wildlife sighting: two giant spiders that apparently paid for the room too. Not the worst stay, but definitely one for the travel journal.
Our room, 104, was very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and the channel lineup was one of the best I've seen in a hotel! The location, right off the exit going south is right off the ramp and on the same side of the street. The Subway next door was open late and there are late night gas stations within walking distance.
