Positive: Staff was very friendly, room was clean. Very nice hotel. Negative: Room was at the far end of the hotel' internet did not work most of the time in my room. Had to go to the lobby to use internet.Denny's, McD's & gas station nearby. You need to drive, take a taxi, or walk to anything else.
The worst customer service I have ever received from my motel. I would really appreciate if someone actually contacted me about this review other than the general manager I talked to. My shower backed up about 2 inches and brown stuff started coming out from the drain. The toilet wouldn’t flush. I went to the front desk and he said to come back and talk to his manager. She would be in soon. I did so. I got there and I was checking out and she said I was offered another room. That was right before I checked out! And they said I would have to switch rooms. Why would I do that? She offered $20 off the room. I said if that’s the only thing they were offering. She said it was and I said I guess I’d have to leave a review and she immediately repented giving me $20 off. I said that really wasn’t a way to run a business and she started to mock me. She continued to mock me as she check me out out of my room, and as I walked out of the motel. I will never go back, and I truly think she should not be the manager. As she marked me, she said she’s been a general manager for over a decade and wasn’t worried about about you. I couldn’t believe it. Please see photos.
This hotel is very well kept and the staff is very welcoming. We changed hotels at the last minute and the front staff had our key ready in hand as we walked in. Very mindful of what we needed they accommodated our every need. One of the best hotels we have stayed at. We were pleasantly impressed with our spacious clean room for the price and the bed was so comfortable and our room was so quiet. We definitely will be back again & again.
My room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a comfortable chair, nice desk and chair, and a good couch. The air conditioning worked well. Bathroom was a little small but that wasn't a problem. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly staff. There were a lot of nice options for the included breakfast and I especially appreciated how friendly and helpful the lady working the breakfast was. She really made an effort to see that the guests felt welcomed and got everything they needed. Front desk staff was also good.
We had a very pleasant one-night stay at the Governor's Inn. While there are many unhoused on the streets and sidewalks around the hotel, Jennifer at the front desk allayed our security concerns, mentioning active camera monitoring in the parking area, full time security staff and regular walkabouts through the nightime hours. The hallways are spacious and there are small seating areas scattered throughout the hotel which gives a homey feeling. Our room was very clean and roomy. We appreciated the extra care taken in the room's presentation, the fan-folded kleenex and tissue, hand towels and bath towels artfully folded as well. We will certainly stay here again!
I wrote a previous review about my room conditions and stay. I just want to say the reply to my previous review was a total lie. The manager was rude, mocked me when I complained of room conditions, and decided to not refund me any money when she promised she would, after I told her I planned on writing a review about the service received and room conditions. I was only offered a different room right before checking out…why would I move rooms just to check out and leave? Doesn’t make sense. Read other reviews and you will see similar poor customer service comments. I truly couldn’t believe how unprofessional the general manager was. She should have never been placed in that position with her attitude.
It was great for the price but the surrounding area is full of homeless people roaming around. The hotel itself was very nice. Clean rooms. Good breakfast.
