Stayed here during the month of November. Such a cute and conveniently placed hotel, the rooms were great and had everything you needed inside. Decor was really great too, had a modern vibe to it. The outside courtyard was so awesome with the fire pits and seating area. Great walking distance to everything is Salem! Would definitely go back.

The front desk staff were incredibly attentive leading up to and during our stay. I mentioned that I wanted a cake for my mom’s birthday, and when we returned to our room later that evening, it was waiting on the bed for us. Sharing birthday cake at 2 a.m. with two spoons while snow fell outside is a memory I’ll never forget. A special thank you to Nova for making that happen you truly made the trip extra special. The hotel has a charming, whimsical feel while still being comfortable and well-appointed. It’s close enough to downtown to enjoy a beautiful walk when weather allows, and even when it was snowing, a quick Uber was only about $6 very convenient. We also stayed in Boston during this trip, but I honestly wished we had extended our time in Salem at The Cove instead. It was my favorite place we stayed. I will absolutely be returning

We loved the double queen witches cottage! The beds were super comfortable and the decor was immaculate!! The Cove is about a twenty minute walk from downtown Salem - the walk is down well-lit residential streets, so we felt very safe on the commute. If we could make one suggestion, the water pressure in the overhead shower wasn’t great - the handheld attachment was good. Next time we come to Salem, we are going to book extra nights just so we can enjoy the room even more!

I stayed as guest as part of a large group and had a wonderful time. We were able to use the loft space to gather and the hotel met all of our needs. The staff were all really friendly and helpful! My room (king suite) was better than I was expecting! Some (minor) negatives: (1) the hotel is a long-ish walk from downtown (but they make up for it with onsite space). It's a very safe, easy walk to downtown, but be prepared! When we visited it was about $10 to take a Lyft. (2) my friend stayed in a themed room as was a bit disappointed. The themed half of the hotel seems older than the newer half and had less of a kitchen she was expecting. Nevertheless we all enjoyed our stay, and would stay again!

The Cove has to be one of the most unique hotels out there. We stayed in a medieval-themed room that was not only visually incredible, but also unbelievably spotless. The location is perfect for exploring Salem, and Garrett was so helpful — even texting to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for making our Salem visit so special!

We just stayed there from 2/19 to 2/21 2026 in a King suite room. The staff were great, the room was spotless and very comfortable. I dont think I can truly find anything wrong other then we had to leave because of severe weather (blizzard) coming. I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay and if we return to Salem we will definitely book there again. Also if the weather was nicer and not the middle of February everything was in walking distance if needed

We came up from Tennessee to enjoy the New England area. We made our home base in Salem, Massachusetts for the trip and I'm glad we did! The Cove was super clean, nice, up to date, and the staff were fantastic. We loved the built in heater in the bathroom, as it really helped knock the chill out. The only thing I would say was a negative is the other rooms slamming doors around you will almost make you jump out of bed at night. The soundproofing could use some work, because there is absolutely zero. We got the fan and turned it on, but here were nights we didn't sleep at all due to the people above us constantly slamming the door or maybe it was the supply room door. Anyways, I would definitely stay there again, but come better prepared with something noise cancelling! Also, you are not really in the "take off walking" part of Salem. Which we knew, but it did end up being a hassle because parking is not very convenient and mostly not free in downtown Salem. Even with that said, it is still a fantastic place to stay, just giving a heads up about some things! (We were not in the themed rooms as they were already full, they might be quieter.)
