The Daniels House Inn

My best friend and I visited Salem to celebrate turning 40. We booked The Daniels House and stayed in the West India room. It was so cute and charming! We were an interested in how the shared bathroom experience was going ton work since that room shares a bathroom with the Marion room, but it was just fine. The house is incredible and has such history which made the entire experience. It’s close enough to everything that you can walk, however, at the last minute we had to rent a car and Patrick was great with accommodating us. There are parking spots on site for each room and it was SO convenient! The Continental breakfast in the beautiful dining area was so nice! It was much appreciated to have hot coffee and a little something in the mornings before we got going for the day. We really enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend if you want a lovely little authentic experience staying in Salem.

Me LOVED staying at this Chalet! It was the perfect set up for our family vacation! It was very clean had a well stocked kitchen and the beds were SO comfy! Patrick was a fantastic communicator, he answered my messages promptly. We would definitely stay here again!!

The Daniels House is perfectly located within walking distance of pretty much everything we wanted to see while visiting Salem. It seems unreal when you consider the history of the home and that you are staying in a place that existed 100 years before the Declaration of Independence. The home is decorated nicely and everything was very comfortable. We stayed 4 nights in the Great Room, which provided us with a private bathroom and a reserved parking spot. I’ve seen some derogatory comments in the reviews, but we were more than happy with everything. This is not a B&B, you are renting a room. We did meet the owners and they were very nice and welcoming, but they are not on top of you all the time and leave you to enjoy your vacation. We never needed anything, but I have no doubt they would have handled any concerns immediately. The breakfast provided consisted of mini muffins (that my wife absolutely loved), a variety of breads and bagels, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, orange juice, etc. It provided a good start to the day. All in all, the Daniels House was a great place to stay and we considered it to be one of the best experiences in lodging that we have had. We are history lovers, so just being able to stay at this location was a privilege. So glad the owners are making their home available. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing and one of my favorite places in Salem. Adele and Patrick were wonderful. The house was stunning. It was an honor to be able to stay here for a few nights in October during busy season. My husband and I stayed in the Great Room. The room itself and the dinning area below were some of the oldest yet most charming rooms in the house. A magical stay + beautiful old school charm. Close to The House of Seven Gables and the Wharf. Can’t wait to visit again. 10/10

This house is amazing. Its clean homeie feeling and feels like you stepped back i to time. I want to come back and stay in another one of the themed rooms. They have an amazing wifi set up best one ever. Staff was great at communicating when needed. Would highly recommend this house.

We loved our stay at the Daniels House Inn. The rooms felt very authentic to the time. We stayed in the Marion room, which had 6 foot ceilings. We found that fun and charming. My teenager enjoyed all the historical details like the light switches and the art. The hosts were very easy to work with and were welcoming. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see, and had some delicious food in the neighborhood. When we come back, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

I stayed with my family at the Daniels House Inn for a week in the East India Room and the Marion Room. There were 4 adults and one child and the accommodations were great! We loved the breakfast that was provided every day, the mini marmalade filled muffins were truly amazing! The Inn is located in a perfect position to walk to all of the prominent Salem historical sites. Patrick and Adele were fantastic hosts and were always available for any questions. If you stay there, be sure to ask to visit the Inn’s gift shop! The rooms were beautiful and very cozy. I highly recommend Daniels House to anyone visiting Salem.
