Studio 6 San Angelo, TX

The only person there who treated my disabled son and me with any respect was a cleaning lady named Patricia. ||When we got there, our room was on the 2nd floor after I'd been assured they'd be on the 1st to accommodate my son's wheelchair. ||When told that wouldn't work, I was told I could have a double non-smoking. But I reserved a smoking because we smoke and they had that option. ||They told me I could go to another motel. ||Finally, they said we could have a single. . . I don't sleep in the same bed as my adult son. . . I just don't. . ||Then they said we could have 2 singles, but we'd have to pay $10 more per night per room. I had no choice. ||The toilets in either room wouldn't flush. ||When asked to bring more coffee for the pot inside the room. . was told, "No, we ain't got nobody that does that". ||Next morning they proceeded to move my disabled son to another room. . a non-smoking room. . . when I asked why I was told I requested it. When I told them that I had not and asked if he was confused, he said he wasn't but I must be. ||I can't give this property high marks in any area given that I was lied to upon booking, price gouged upon arrival and their customer service was lacking the service altogether. ||Oh. . and the other people staying there. . all 5 of them. . were crack heads. Yeah. .

No coffee maker in a kitchette type room. TP roll holder was broken and laying in the floor. No little shampoo/conditioner bottles. It was clean but, that is a basic. No dirty laundry bag either.

This place is disgusting. They do not clean the rooms, the lights in the rooms do not work. And on top of it all they are infested with roaches. The front desk staff did not want to refund my card or cancel my reservation. My card was not yet charged and when I brought that up he charged the card as I was standing there.

We called at 10:30 at night after our van engine exploded. They got us and our small kiddos in quickly and even accept our pets. We were treated kindly, they helped us extend our stay when we couldn’t find a way back into the road. I highly recommend!

I have been a guest at this property multiple times this past year and I can , in total confidence tell you that this place is a great place to stay if you are needing to stay in San Angelo. The manager and the staff go above and beyond and are never rude, unprofessional, or complacent. The manager takes pride in the property and runs the place very well. The rooms are always clean and tidy and everything is updated or in good shape. Mattresses are comfortable, the AC in the rooms keep it nice and cool, TVs microwaves and mini fridge are always clean and in working order and if there’s ever been any issue with the room it’s remedied right then. The price is awesome. For the location, dining and shopping and nice rooms you can’t do better than studio 6. The thing I like most is I never have felt like I’m not safe or that I can’t be myself when I stay there. That’s priceless. So I am very confused when I read a bad review on Studio 6. Even on their worst day I would stay there over other properties in this area. If you need a good room that’s clean ,cool, and quiet, stay at Studio 6.

This place is a very comfortable place to stay. The people are very friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. Yes, the rooms come with full-size fridges in them. No, they don't serve breakfast, but there are several restaurants within walking distance, so breakfast, lunch, and supper shouldn't be a problem. I'm sorry to say the pool has been removed and is now a great place to sit and have an outdoor bar-b-q. There is a relatively cheap laundry room for guests to use as the machines are well maintained. The only major downfall to this place is its location is next to an active railroad that does have a train that might come through, but it's very rare. Major historical landmarks are not far by car, maybe 2-3 minutes to Fort Concho, and an additional minute to historic downtown. So all in all, this IS a very good place to stay.

I booked 4 rooms for a December 13, 2025, which were available. Upon arrival I already was aware that the motel building is older, and the pictures online show clean bedrooms, and updated furniture and fixtures. So for one night, I figured it was fine rather than my usual Marriott or Wyndham booking. When we arrived the front desk attendant was watching tv and it was turned up load and what ever was on the tv - every other word was a cuss word. He apologized and turned the tv down. (I get it.. you're bored, not much happening). We quickly were given our room keys, three rooms downstairs and one room upstairs. Before allowing other family members to go in to their rooms, I wanted to walk our daughters room. Upon opening the door, there was the heavy stench of cigarette smoke. I noticed there was duck tape on the window, and there was tissue stuffed in the peep hole of the door. That when I turned to my daughter and told her not to put her things down. I moved towards the bed, and there were cigarette burns and holes in the comforter, in the bathrooms, I look up and on the shower curtain there were two used dingy wash towels. I immediately advised my daughter to leave the room, I walked out backwards to keep my eyes on the space while I exited. I went to the front desk and was given a new room with a new key. The second room (again on the first floor) did not smell like smoke, but surveying the room I immediately saw that the bed pillows had soiled pillow cases. My husband went upstairs to check our sons room.. he must have been gone 3 minutes when he came running down the stairs to tell me that people are just leisurely smoking in the hallway, not vaping, smoking. Trash bags lined the hallway and that the interior door of the room, had the back of the door lock missing. All this to say I turned in every key, and advised the front desk we would NOT be staying at the property. I had booked with Expedia and was quickly given a refund since we spent less than 5 minutes in room. Do yourself a favor, pay the money to stay at a nice establishment- which is not this one!!!!
