Beck's Motor Lodge

Great location, parking is included, free, and readily available, and that is hard to beat. Reservation process was easy, check-in was a breeze. Room was clean, organized, roomy. It had just the basics, no fridge, no closet, no iron, but for us, it had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable enough. Bathroom was new, modern, clean; there was plenty of hot water in the shower (although, it takes a while to get it). Overall, we’re very happy with our experience here. Staff was cordial, professional, competent, flexible. We highly recommend it.

The rooms are very nice! The bathrooms were clean, there were nice earplugs and nice soap! One bed was a little dirty in one corner, and the room isn't as big as other hotels, but I would recommend! The service was good, but we didn't use it much. Comfy!

Small but functional rooms in an excellent location in the Castro district. Has its own parking lot, right next to several transit stops, and located next to a lot of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Room was nice but there is a lot of street noise, but they do provide earplugs. There was a safe and mini fridge in the room but no microwave. Rooms are very clean and well maintained, but we needed to air our room out after every cleaning due to the smell of the sanitizer they use. Definately a place I would recommend staying and worth the price. Also the little patio above the enterance is a great place to sit with a coffee and watch people on the street.

Beck’s was the perfect home base for my trip to SF. After a few visits in a row staying somewhere "fancy" near union square, I was excited to stay nearer to the Castro, Mission, and other livable districts. It was so easy to get everywhere I wanted to go, and when I got "home" I was surrounded by great food, bars, coffee, and all the stores I needed to be comfy. The rooms were nothing special but nice and clean and everyone working there had good vibes. When I wanted to extend my stay on a 2nd card the front desk was really helpful. Eat at Starbelly across the street!

Becks Motor Lodge is great for the parking, the location in the Castro, and the people watching. We had a very clean room. Everything was perfectly to our liking.

Wow, wish all hotels are as good as Becks. Over the past 60 days have stayed at over 8 hotels (big names Hyatt, Hilton, etc) throughout California from San Diego to Sacramento. Becks by far was the best. Hotel room was impeccably clean and everything was spotless. From the housekeeping staff to maintenance; they appear to take pride in the work they do. Front desk staff (Ed & Donna) were also very friendly and helpful at check in and check out. Highly impressed with the place.

Pros- location is great, room is nice/clean , price is right, and they let me check in early which was super nice Cons- the walls are thinner than any motel I have ever been to. They do provide earplugs in the vanity area but unfortunately I didn’t see them until the next morning. The people above us were talking and listening to loud music all night and it sounded like they were in the room with us. We could hear every word they were saying lol I have a feeling people around us were complaining because it kept stopping and then starting again I would absolutely stay here again when we are in the city but will come prepared next time
