Galleria Park Hotel

What a great location! Lots of places to walk to, plus Muni was easy, and cheap. Staff was wonderful. Jenesis at the front desk was very nice and kind. Cudos to the housekeeping staff. My room was meticulously clean. Valet parking was very efficient. The valet seemed happy to see a manual tranny car!

Positive: This is a beautiful, old hotel. I love the nightly happy hour from 5 to 6 p.m. You can meet fellow travelers and relax before dinner. Negative: If you are a light sleeper, request an "inside" room as the rooms facing the street are noisy, especially on weekends: exuberant nightlife, loud cars, homeless screaming, garbage trucks picking up trash, etc.

It’s hard to find anything to complain about the Galleria Park Hotel - so I won’t! These guys are absolute PROs when it comes to customer experience. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming, from the valets to front desk to housekeeping- everyone is super nice and hospitable. I got some sightseeing recommendations from the front desk team that did not disappoint! The hospitality aside, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The room was big and the beds were comfy, though note that the bathroom is a bit cozy (but not without added charm) so don’t expect a lot of counter space. The location couldn’t be beat, either. Everything I wanted and more was within walking distance. I was in town for work and really liked being able to grab a breakfast sandwich on my walk to the office, and a bowl of ramen on my walk home. The waterfront is about 20 minutes away by foot, and the immediate surrounding neighborhood has plenty to do and see (and eat!) too. I was able to check out late for a very, very reasonable fee ($25) and then take a work call in the mezzanine above the lobby. I will definitely be back, and recommending this spot to my coworkers when they visit SF, too. The rooftop park on the third floor must be an absolute DELIGHT in the sunshine, hoping next time I get some. Cheers!

Pros: Staff was lovely. I was here for 3 nights and each and every staff was lovely, from security, to doorman to the front desk. Maria was my room cleaner and she was awesome and so pure and sweet. I told her I was here for an interview and the next day she asked how my interview went!!!!! The staff was truly epic. Cons: No blackout curtains, room was very loud from the street view. Resort fees per night.

We stayed here with family for three nights and had a great experience! First off the front desk staff / bellmen was exceptional - from the moment we arrived they helped us carry our luggage in, answered all of our questions, and even gave our 3 year old daughter a goodie bag! Once in the room, it was small but very clean and cozy. Free bottles of refillable water were available! With water refill stations just down the hall. As for amenities, we did check out the "sipping hour" which is a free happy hour in the lobby every afternoon at 5 and it was lovely. Location is great, short walk to Chinatown, and to MUNI stops nearby. There are several cafes, restaurants, bars all within a 5 min walk. The Galleria Park Hotel was perfect for our San Francisco trip and we would stay again!

Excellent stay! Great location and service with clean modern rooms. Jeffrey and the entire staff are top notch. Happy hour was a delight. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. Bellman/valet was great and gave the recommendation for self parking at the White House Garage and it was affordable, easy, and clean.

My family and I had a great experience with our recent visit. The attention to care was really great. We brought two dogs and especially were grateful for the terrace and walking track on site. It made taking our boys out to use the bathroom so easy. We were also offered a dog bed, water bowls, and dog treats upon arrival. The daily sipping hour was a nice treat and I was so grateful and surprised by a special gift in my room to celebrate my birthday. Ice and water refill station was also a plus. I can't say enough good things about our stay and want to thank each staff member that helped to make this trip so memorable! Highly recommended for anyone travelling with pets.
