Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa ANA - Orange County by IHG

Our second time staying here. First time we stayed in June ‘25 and now in Feb’26, so 8 months apart stays. The front desk people are courteous . Our first stay they gave us two water bottles complementary. This time , we saw the gift bags but they didnt offer them to us. Rooms are pretty standard. It is quite an old hotel. Low ceilings, old bathrooms. They have Dove body wash and shampoo as well as hand wash which is fine. A lot of hotels these days dont even provide hand wash. Towels are super scratchy, rough. I wish the bathroom cleaning, specially behind the tap areas was better The air conditioning is set on a specific setting so we cant really increase or decrease temperature . There is a train track close-by so you hear the train horn a lot from 5am till midnight. It can be a bother for light sleepers. Traffic and police car/ambulance sirens are also very very frequently heard, which is very annoying. Location is great. Thats the beat part. Not a fancy-ish area like Irvine but then 5-10 mins from Irvine and Anaheim and Tustin. Lots of nice restaurants in those areas. One this great is that the beds are very comfy considering its such an old hotel. Breakfast is good too. Has variety. Free parking is awsome.

Went to this hotel because I was getting surgery so I wanted to go some wete i could relax and not catch and germs or anything before surgery. So the first room the heater was not working we watch the young man for one in a half hours then he called another guy to hel30 min later the young man cut open his hand and blood went everywhere and both men left i waited like 5min for someone to come back so I went to the front desk and explained everything to them and he said we will get someone up to clean i told no I want another room so he gave me one but it's like they don't even care there.n's been some kind of consolation. I try to eat a whole lot of the manager every day.Did not call me back.The pole is not heated . And it says that it's nine miles from disneyland that's a lie. The only good thing about the restaurant was the bacon. I just recommend that you're not stay at this hotel.I stay at a lot of holiday hands in this room.What's the worst,

We were up upgraded due to ihg status. One night Chase free and 6 std . All staff were exceptional. Sink storage repaired within 20 minutes. Requested more towels and coffee pods within 10 minutes. Facility looks brand new. Paint touch ups observed constantly. | Included breakfast basic but plentiful and well presented. Restocking continuous along with cleaning. |Area around hotel highly questionable at night but security was ever-present. |Highway I5 is of concern on east side but nonexistent on N, S, and W sides. Some slight railroad noise on west side but not significant. |Doors to all balconies are secured closed, bumper, but management erred for safety. |For a 2 star it's the best of thr best.

Staff was friendly. Downstairs bathroom near the pool needed cleaning on a Sunday morning. Food was great. Coffee being available all day was excellent.

We had a wonderful 3-day stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The service was outstanding, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and professional. The breakfast was delicious with great variety and quality. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and truly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 5 nights during a trip to Disneyland. I picked this location specifically for the free parking, so was not quite sure how it would turn out given almost all the hotels in the area require paid parking. But was pleasantly surprised. It's an older hotel, but still nice and felt that I was getting my moneys worth. The area has some homeless presence, but nothing out of the usual for California and never felt unsafe. Disneyland is a quick 15 mins away. Would recommend for any visitors trying to find a place with free parking.

It's weird maybe to rate a budget hotel 5 stars, but it's because you get a lot of bang for the buck. It's clean, well located, and you get included breakfast in a welcoming eating space. All at a really great price. We would happily stay here again!
