Really good hostel. The guy at the check in desk was really lovely and waited for me when my train was delayed. The lounge areas are nice and the kitchen area is large and clean. There are also laundry facilities with detergent, and lockers you can rent for $3 to store your bags when you check out (that come with a lock). The breakfast was bagels, toast porridge and fruit. There was also a vending machine with things you might need. Only downsides were no towels were provided and the room I was in got quite hot as there's no ac. All in all, a really good experience and really nice facilities close to the Amtrak station

I lived in an SRO for four years when I was in my early 20s but had never stayed in a hostel….until I found myself balking at the prices of hotels (I was going to a convention and thought booking last minute would get me a great deal and… ok mistakes were made!) I was a bit apprehensive until I walked up to the front desk to check in - the staff were SO friendly and professional. I felt completely at ease and not out of place. I was given a bath towel and a lock to use at no extra cost. The bathrooms were impressively clean - again, I lived in an SRO for years (your own room but bathrooms and kitchen shared), and was expecting some of the same horrors. The room and bed were quite comfy! Honestly I was just there to sleep after a long day of having fun, so it was perfect. Also a pleasant surprise were the activities - evening pub crawl, trip to the art museum with covered admission. The vibe was just so wholesome!! I’m in my late 30s but was pleasantly surprised to not be the oldest guest by a long shot. There are several common areas with books, TVs and games - didn’t spend much time here but they looked tidy and comfortable. Would absolutely stay again!!

Dorm rooms and bathrooms are kept clean and tidy, and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Public transportation is across the street including light rail, subway, and bus stops so getting around is easy. The Uwajimaya Japanese grocery store is one block away and includes a food hall with a variety of choices. Bars and eateries are also downstairs and within the block. Be mindful that the hostel is in the city so like all cities, nearby are homeless, druggies, and drunkards that frequent the large outdoor public park one block away. Just be aware of your surroundings and hold on to your wallets and purses. Otherwise, the price of a night is right and your stay will be enjoyable.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, good amount of space in the lockers as well. Large common areas and lots of info of events happening in the city plus daily events with the hostel. There’s a parking lot right across the street as well that was super handy. Would recommend!

Great hostel, friendly staff, clean bed and clean room. I will definitely book here in future, it was a great experience for the cost, the only downside was the level of homeless congregating on the street outside, and while that was sad, none of them bothered me at all. highly recommend.

I'm currently traveling through Seattle and I had stayed at this hostel once before so I decided to give it another try. I use my U.S. passport as my I.D. and it wasn't a problem the first time I stayed there, but this time they had a whole cow about it. My stay was just for one night, but the lady at the front desk became visibly nervous about having me there. She made a point of reading the rules to me as if I was some sort of illiterate vagabond. Then she started to probe about what I was doing in the area which made me uncomfortable as I was only staying for one night. She must have left notes for the day staff as when I was ready to leave, the next front desk lady continued to probe with questions. She even made a point of joining me in the elevator to escort me to the lobby to make sure that I left the building! Totally disgusting and invasive. Their probing made me uncomfortable and I don't think I'll be giving them my business anymore.

My husband booked this hostel for one night. Clean, basic, good breakfast, helpful staff. Just wish we'd had enough time to play around with the instruments... walkable to light rail. I'd stay again definitely
