This was such a beautiful and historical location. The antique decor and artwork made my visit so much more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and they leave lots of goodies for you to enjoy. I felt like I had walked back in time. I could just imagine the luxurious parites and events held on the grounds here. Ruthie the attendant was the most delightful person. I will stay here again on my next visit to Shreveport! You should check it out too.
Delightful experience! Comfortable canopy bed, beautiful bathroom. Coffee available always. Rooms FULL of pictures, portraits, and "interesting stuff". Full service hot breakfast (3 course).
this place is a HIDDEN GEM!!!! it was our first b&b ever so we didn’t know what to expect, but this place far exceeded any expectations! we stayed in the st charles room and i highly recommend it for the most beautiful bathroom and jacuzzi. the decor, the furniture, and the garden had a very whimsy vibe. you can get breakfast in bed and it was so good! the owner is also the founder of monjunis so its nice to recognize and support someone local. ppl were complaining about the price, but my husband and i agree that it was WELL worth the price. we’ll definitely be back!
John was amazing and so accommodating during the ice storm. The room was very comfortable I stayed in the Loyola room. Due the steep grade of the Inn’s driveway. John was kind enough to have me stay at the Manor that had a flat driveway and that I could safely park at due the snow and ice. John had many snacks and lots of drink options, coffee and teas fo me to enjoy. Since I didn’t want to venture back out on the icy roads. I stayed in the Manor for my dinner which consisted of John’s snacks some wine he had at his beverage area. And some jerky I got on my road trip. The bed and room was very comfortable. I was warm and snug and so thank you to be safe in Shreveport. The room was quiet. So I had a comfortable night. For breakfast John cooked up waffles with turkey sausage and avocado toast with an egg. Very delicious. And I filled up on tea. Simply a perfect start for my day to finish my road trip. Julia was also very kind who helped with breakfast and welcomed me upon my arrival. Can’t wait to explore Shreveport in better weather at my next visit. Thank you John and Julia for a lovely stay.
While traveling through we spent one night at this very cute bed and breakfast. A first for me, the owner was very accommodating and the home was beautiful! Couldn't ask for a better breakfast - especially since we had special dietary needs. I'd definitely stay again.
We were having a very important occasion in Shreveport and wanted to stay some place that was simple to access and lovely to enjoy. We found the perfect place!! The environment of this B&B is peaceful and enchanting!! I especially enjoyed the eclectic art work and trinkets- created an interesting story and I would have love to have known the history behind each! The room and bathroom were another happy treasure- beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and especially clean!! We were looking forward to enjoying the breakfast but had to leave last minute- we were feeling disappointed- but, then, one of the lovely ladies approached us on hearing that we had to suddenly leave and told us to hang on tight for a few minutes. By the time we had our vehicle loaded, this precious lady brought us two very fresh and hot breakfasts!! SO THOUGHTFUL!! And, of course, the breakfasts were amazing!! Our only regret is that we did not get to stay longer!!
Our stay at Fairfield Manor this past weekend was truly unforgettable. The Saint Charles room, with its rustic Renaissance-inspired décor, set the perfect tone, while the entire home carries a charming New Orleans atmosphere. On Sunday, we enjoyed breakfast prepared by Chef John himself, whose culinary talent shines through in every dish. He and his staff embody genuine old-world hospitality, making the experience feel both welcoming and timeless. It was an exceptional visit, and we will most certainly return.
