La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Shreveport Airport

Front desk staff is super nice and helpful for the most part. No issue there minus one being lazy and making me come get toilet paper that should have been addressed by the cleaning staff. I stayed there for a week and nobody touched my room. I even asked yesterday before I left for work and still nothing. I called my employer and had them move me to a different hotel. WiFi is so slow it’s not worth using, and per some of the other reviews I read, it’s not a new problem. The facility is nice, just needs some staff upgrades. And beware if you vape, because the rooms have sensors in them and they will charge you(per other reviews). So they will monitor that but not making sure you have a clean room, fresh towels and toilet paper.

This was our 2nd time staying here. 1st time was all good. This time we were in room 330 and as soon as we walked in you could smell crawfish (good thing I had air freshener and lysol to kill the smell. The elevator door kept just opening and closing while trying to get to and from our room. Its like it was possessed with demons. The next morning we were getting packed to leave and we took multiple trips to and from our vehicle, well as we tried to come back in our key card wouldn't work. Good thing Bo was there to let us in. He then tried his card ( of course his card worked he works there). Then my husband went down and tried to come back same results door wouldn't open. This time he had to walk ALLLLL the way up front to get in. Then we finished getting ready to leave. I get down stairs and I left my charger and had to go back up....GUESS WHAT??? Key card didn't work. Had to walk ALLL the way up front to get back in. I stopped at the front desk and I told the 2 ladies at the front desk that I was very upset because of the card not working at the back door and they never moved. It was way before check out time and they need to make sure it convenient for guests to go in and out. I was not pleased this time around.

Impressed with the size of the room, very spacious. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Front desk customer service was wonderful. We did the online check in before arrive and made the arrival to the room so much quicker. Breakfast service was amazing, the lady managing the food was extremely pleasant and polite. She was friendly and genuinely asked us what we needed. Over all this was a better experience than expected after long hours of driving.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable. The a/c unit was a little noisy but after running for a couple of minutes it quieted down. The bath tub looked a little dirty but it was older so I imagine it might have been a little stain from past stayers. The room was very clean and did not have any weird smells. I realized this was an animal friendly hotel which had me concerned at first but I did not hear any animals while in my room. I had neighbors but did not hear any noise from next door. I would highly recommend this hotel for the price and quality!

Timme was very warm and welcoming when I arrived to check in. I received top tier from her service and had an amazing experience. The breakfast was delicious as well. The woman preparing the food ensured everything was stocked and the woman maintaining the dining area was very kind and sweet to myself and my daughter. I witnessed her provide the same warmth to others in the dining area as she swept and tidied the condiments/counters. There wasn’t a single time I left my room that I wasn’t greeted by a staff member in passing. Little things like that go a long way and make a big difference! Great staff! Give em all a nice bonus! Thank you all.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms were clean & spacious, the staff were all very friendly & helpful, and the breakfast options were excellent. However, two things were a bit frustrating. #1 - the WiFi is VERY slow at this hotel. Definitely not "high speed". Keep this in mind if you have virtual Zoom meetings planned. #2 - the bathrooms are a bit outdated, and my shower in particular didn't have any conditioner. That was a bit frustrating to find out about at 5am...gone are the days when you receive tiny little shampoo/conditioner bottles. The showers have built-in dispensers (which I don't mind, but I think the housekeeping staff should check to make sure they're full with each cleaning).

For our one night of break during our road trip from Baton Rouge to Hot Springs, we choose to stay at La Quinta at Shreveport. It's an excellent place to unwind after a tiring drive. Neat and clean room and restroom. A decent restaurant which serves continental breakfast. It has a small gym and a swimming pool (we did not use because of winters), too. Staff is courteous, always smiling and ever helpful. Overall a decent and functional place to stay. Ample parking available. Just a suggestion to the hotel management - please use a better locking mechanism in the bathroom doors in the rooms.
