My wife and I, along with my father attended a big event. Stayed for 4 days. While visiting the multiple restaurants/coffee places, I have to say the service at Smokey Joe’s and Java were on another level compared to the upper class steak restaurant. Jonae @ Smokey Joe’s gave us the best service we’ve experienced at any restaurant!! (If I misspelled her name I apologize). The manager came by more than once to make sure we were continent. Five stars for service and even conversation with all there. The employees at Java, while faced with other difficult patrons still held it down and did a great job! As for the up scale steak restaurant, the chef and his team did a great job. But the wait staff was horrible. Not once was I asked if I needed a refill or anything after plate was served. My wife eventually had to stop someone to get more tea. That was the only disappointment of $275 meal.

Positive: The band Side FX!!!! They were AMAZING and made the whole trip worth every penny! Staff was also amazing. Negative: The rooms were not as nice as advertised! It was outdated. But it was not so bad that it ruined our stay. But for the price we paid for 2 nights we did expect more. But we still had a lot of fun!!!

I stayed on 1/16/26 and absolutely enjoyed myself. The casino staff was chill. I played off and on all night and the entire staff was FRIENDLY. Craps dealers were teaching me and coaching me to the point bets were winning. Security super friendly and professional. Had one incident with a guy trying to sell me fake jewelry on the floor and security handled him. Smokey Joe’s was good late night food. My waitress was polite and friendly. Yeah sure rooms were "dated" but it was a great experience. I will come back in the future. Forget Horseshoe this is the place to be.

The casino is a lot of fun. Their players club is great. Offers free play and they have events all the time. Their rooms are spacious and clean. The service on the casino floor is excellent. They have live bands on the weekends which is always fun.

My husband and I travel here from Dallas often. Once every couple of months. We have such a great time. Room and meals are always complimentary for us. The staff has always been great to us. I never walk away at a loss from this casino. So much fun! This will always be our "weekend getaway spot".

My wife and I travel to this hotel very often and usually have a great time. She surprised me with a trip this past weekend for my 50th birthday celebration. Seems like we had bedbugs and so I reported this to the hotel and their response was basically they didn't find anything. Well here are some pics of the bites I came home with......Management needs to be aware of the people they have over this issue and should compensate customers with some sort of incentive to return to their location especially if we are regular customers.

Great place for a stay, breakfast, dinner, gambling, and little else. Rooms were below fine. We picked a room higher in the building with a view of the river, which lead us to room 2002. The room smelled like cigarettes, bathrooms were clean everywhere but the tub, where it still contained hair, soap residue and debris. Beds were acceptable, and the room had a fridge. Check-in was unpleasant. When we arrived, there were 2 people at the front desk, attending to a guest that seemed to be well known. When we got to the desk, despite there being 2 attendees, we had to wait for them to get checked in before we were serviced, and they seemed to be very short with us despite being cheerful earlier. The whole place, from when you enter the building from the parking lot to when you leave the elevator to your room’s floor is LOUD. Hype music is always playing, even in the elevator, and on nights when you go to eat at one of the two food locations, most likely there will be live music that will cause you a headache if you are sensitive to it. During one of those nights I ended up putting my headphones on due to the overwhelming volume of the restaurant. The location is convenient, but parades and events can make getting in and out of the parking lot or elevator stressful and frustrating. Overall, it’s… decent. If you can put up with all of that, it’ll probably work out for the long run.
