Stoney Creek Hotel is a beautiful venue, but unfortunately, the management and sales team completely ruined the experience for us. We got engaged in December 2024 and booked Stoney Creek in spring 2025, shortly after two in-person meetings. From the start, communication was slow, but once it came time to talk real numbers and vendor pricing, things went downhill fast. After waiting months for pricing details, I finally reached out again in July asking for clear costs. Angela Timmons did not respond for over a month, and when she finally did, the only thing offered was complimentary flavored drinks as if that somehow made up for months of being ignored. We paid good money for this venue, and the service we received was absolutely unacceptable. It genuinely felt like our wedding wasn’t important to the sales manager. There was no urgency, no follow-through, and no accountability. Yes, the venue itself is nice—but that does not excuse terrible management. We overpaid for what we received, especially considering how poorly we were treated throughout the planning process. If you’re considering Stoney Creek for a wedding, just know: Pretty venue. Shitty service. Poor management. Do better.
We booked a Theme Suite with Whirlpool and paid $235.26 for our 1 night stay. The hotel rooms are pet friendly, we had our two dogs with us. At check in I walked in to sign that said 'please call I'm in the laundry room' so something like that. I did not have a phone on me so had to wait for another guest to arrive and call. We got to select our theme suite from the list of available ones; we picked the fishing room. After checking into the room, we noticed the fireplace glass shield was broken. There was glass pieces in the edging of the fireplace and on the floor. Seems like the initial break had already been cleaned up. We asked for a new room. The front desk apologized, comped our dog fee, and let us pick from the theme list again, we picked the golfer suite. Some windows in the balcony for the golfer suite would not stay open and one when we went to open it went to fall out because its track was shot. We loved opening the windows and hearing the city sounds. The view was a nice lighted city view. The room had plenty of lights in varying spaces to change the atmosphere. We would stay again for the price to value.
This place is great during the week. Staff is wonderful. Everything is clean. I have zero complaints towards the hotel itself, especially during the week. I’m relocating for work so staff has been helpful. Nothing is rundown like a previous review states. Unless it’s trash and food their children have thrown on the ground. (Literally ground up hot Cheetos outside my room from one of the yelling pre-teens) Unfortunately it’s parents who do not control their children who ruin the weekend. Parents who let their children run wild, throw trash around, disrespect everyone around them. Children were yelling and running down the hall until 2am while their parents were off getting drunk. The PARENTS need to be held accountable and banned from the hotel for not controlling their children in my opinion. Both Friday and Saturday night, these children ruined everyone else’s stays. A hotel is not a daycare for pre-teens who should know how to respect property and others in their area. There definitely needs to be more staff and even a security guard on the weekends. The poor lady at the front desk this weekend deserves double time. And the housekeepers, God bless them! I can’t imagine the tornadoes they cleaned all Sunday, especially on the fourth floor!
Clean, quite and safe. Free breakfast was great each day! Not just eggs an and bacon but eggs made so you can make a breakfast sandwich with cheese even. French toast another day with scrambled eggs and meat, potatoes both days. Better than most. Great court yard area. My new go to for visiting Sioux City!
We do a staycation here every year for my daughter's birthday. It's very convenient that way if the weather is bad this time of year we don't have to worry about rescheduling. Each year it goes downhill a little more, I'm not sure how much upkeep they do. Especially in the pool area and the rooms, however the lobbies always gorgeous. I will also say it has one of the best breakfast that is free that we've been to. Nothing overly fancy steamed eggs, breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, a very cool and delicious pancake machine. We will continue to go it's just sad to see it get run down here after a year. Indoor/outdoor pool is a cool feature that the kids love in winter.
This profile is dedicated to creating awareness about children with disabilities and the quiet struggles they face every day. Around us live many Divyang children whose smiles hide pain, whose silence carries stories, and whose courage often goes unnoticed. They do not ask for sympathy—only understanding, dignity, and a chance to live with hope. Children with disabilities are not a burden on society; they are a reflection of our humanity. A small act of kindness, a little support, or even simple awareness can change the direction of their lives. Many of them lack access to proper education, medical care, mobility support, or emotional encouragement. What they need most is not charity alone, but compassion and inclusion. This profile does not request or encourage fake reviews, ratings, or any activity that violates Google Maps policies. All reviews and interactions should always be honest, voluntary, and based on real experiences. The purpose here is only to spread awareness and inspire positive action in ethical and transparent ways. If while reading this, your eyes feel heavy or your heart feels moved, it is not weakness—it is humanity. Compassion is powerful. When you support a child with disabilities—through awareness, lawful donations, or genuine help—you are investing in a better, kinder society. For those who wish to learn more or extend support responsibly, a QR code is available on the profile display picture. It leads to verified information meant solely for awareness and lawful assistance. Let us see children with disabilities not with pity, but with respect. Not with fear, but with love. When society stands with its most vulnerable children, it grows stronger—quietly, honestly, and beautifully.
This is our second non consecutive night staying here. The executive king with balcony was nice. The room we were in,however, was not so nice. First, the shower floor had been stained with dirt. It took forever for the hot water to come to the shower. It looked like the shower was cleaned at one point from a very dirty guest and the draining of the dirt did not get washed away as it is still there and apparently stained. Our room faced the road and we heard traffic all night long. We heard loud motorcycles and loud cars revving their engines right outside the hotel. We tried to sit on the balcony but were attacked by gnats that were swarming. The massage chairs remote only partially worked and was in chinese so we had no idea what to choose. We got two complimentary drinks at the bar and the gal had no idea how to make an old fashion (which was one of the drinks offered on the menu). If one wanted to play pool or throw darts in the bar, you must pay. The breakfast area also had gnats everywhere which kind of turned our stomachs since we were not sure what the gnats had landed on. Its a nice hotel. Our first night was awesome -just a regular king room. Our room did not face the road and was much cleaner so we were very discouraged with our experience the second night:)
