September 30, I rented a room on booking.com but when I arrived at the address, everything was occupied and when I called the number given, the lady was very apologetic about the fact that somehow overbooking happened and promised that they would return the money. I had to look for another place at 11 pm. When I checked my credit card, they charged me $ 95, I called to resolve this, but they spoke to me very rudely and then some guy picked up the phone and started swearing and then hung up. I recommend everyone not to get involved with these scammers, who, as I understand, do overbooking more than once, and then do not return the money. Stay away from these people.

Very unpleasant situation for us. When we arrived I tried to all the location phone number. Eventually lady picked up the phone and said that we don't have a room, because she was overbooked. Like it's not her problem and common and absolutely normal. No previous communication was given, no courtesy call, text or email. We could change our plans or book something else ahead of time. Because of the horrible customer service and nonexistent hospitality we had to change our plans and at 9pm look for a stay in a city we don't know

Im going to address each in turn so you can get a clear picture of this location. Rooms: adequately sized for my needs, well cleaned, and maintained. Service: The hostess Amy, took very good care of all my needs and concerns, which was a welcome change of pace. For instance my sister, who travelled with me to visit a friend, doesnt eat gluten and she made sure that at least for her there were some gluten free options in the house so she could maintain her diet. The same was true with clean towels, sheets etc. I had a business meeting in Seattle, which was only a short drive from Tacoma so the Location was great as well! And because of the location we even had extra time to visit some friends/colleagues from my previous employment! Over all I was greatly impressed and would love to visit again! Especially that beautiful Amy smile she’d gave me after my meetings 😉

This is unacceptable. This homestay is definitely not the ideal place to stay at. It smells like a house of chainsmokers. My bags and clothes all still smell like smoke even though I was never directly exposed to it. "Bed & Breakfast" is a half lie. You’ll get a bed but no breakfast. I didn’t see one piece of bacon cooked nor a pancake flipped during my stay here. Replace "breakfast" with "breakdown" because I almost had several while staying here. However, there was a bit of breakfast in my room, as I found crumbs in the sheets AND on the remote. Maybe I should have eaten that instead. Lastly, what the booking info doesn’t tell you that people actually live there. It’s very much some folks home and you’re just the guest for the week. They were nice when I saw them but it’s hard to have a "shared space" when someone’s sleeping in the living room at all hours of the day. Strange vibes, unorganized, and horrible scent. This is unprofessionalism at its finest. Do not book this place until it gets it together.

The lady of the house was up at midnight hammering and making all kinds of noise till 2:00 a.m. every night. Said that there was breakfast served never saw anything not a morsel in the house. She was rude not hospitable at all. Lady got mad because I took a piece of her junk mail, so I would have an address of where I was at.

We booked this in January online and arrived to stay the night. We went to the house and was not let in. We tried to get a refund through Expedite and were denied. This place is a scam and we are out $143. DO NOT STAY or Book here!!!

Tacoma Homestay was the perfect home away from home! The rooms are quiet and clean and have all the right amenities.. and great value! I will be staying again!
