The Villa Bed and Breakfast

Toni and Martin are the most gracious hosts. Martin gave a tour of the grounds and shared the history of the property. The room was cozy, quaint, and clean. The location is perfect for touring around Tacoma (Point Defiance to local restaurants and Tacoma Comedy Club). Toni's breakfast makes you feel like you're at home. Her warmth and cooking puts you at ease. Both hosts' passion for the residence and Tacoma makes you want to come back. I couldn't recommend staying here enough.

Martin and Toni were gracious hosts and tours guides, sharing their passion for Tacoma and its history with us. The Villa became a great base station as we explored the area and was impeccably decorated and maintained.

Wonderfully quaint but luxurious bed and breakfast in a quiet yet convenient neighborhood in Tacoma, WA.||There’s not many good hotel choices in Tacoma, so we decided to check out The Villa Bed and Breakfast. It was wonderful. The inn hosts (husband and wife) are both pleasant folks to chat with. We got a full tour of the building including its historical context. We got to go into every guest room (since they were vacant when we checked in) to learn more about the rooms and appreciate the layout and decor.||The Sorrento room is well worth the extra money per night vs the cheaper rooms. It’s large with separate living, dining, bed, and bathrooms. It’s calming (green color scheme with lots of plants). It has a private veranda with a west facing view. The photos attached to this review is of the room. As you can tell, it’s quite nice without being pretentious or outdated. The king sized bed was super comfortable. Firm mattress with pillow top and full pillows.||The hotel is quiet. If you leave the windows open, you get a very nice sea breeze at night and in the morning. Breakfast is included. They take requests but everything is delicious, including the famous fruit bowl!

Stayed at the Villa for ten days when my spouse was in St. Joseph's hospital. The charming, unique rooms, with the soft sounds of a gurgling creek, classic comfort of an old house combined with modern amenities, made rest easy, even in times of stress. Breakfast was delicious and the company of both the hosts and other guests led to lively, stimulating conversations. Toni and Martin are warm and welcoming in a spirit one would only expect in a tale by Tolkein.

We stayed at the Villa while in Tacoma for a wedding celebration. The hosts are so welcoming, and the place so charming, that we can’t wait to stay again. Tacoma is a frequent weekend away place for us and we will definitely be back to the Villa! The breakfast was excellent, too!!

Staying at the Villa was a fun experience.older couple who own it. They loved sharing the history of the mansion. We had the top floor which was the maids quarters. From that floor you has a fantastic view of the Puget sound and when the sun was setting,what a treat,it was stunning. There was no AC but the evenings cool down and leaving the windows open we were fine. Also no elevator but the gentleman of the house carried the suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. Breakfast was served in the garden room which was very relaxing with all of their flowers and plants. The house was located in an area that was very convenient to getting around especially to the waterfront. It was a very charming place to stay and the couple were delightful.

What a spectacular find!! Toni & Martin are the loveliest hosts 💖. We were in town for one night and I was so thankful we booked at The Villa. We were fortunate enough to have a room at the top of the house, and had a phenomenal view of the water and the mountains. We were able to watch the sunrise from bed and it was magical. Not only are the grounds and house lovely, the food is top notch. We had a three course breakfast complete with a selection of delicious fruits, eggs and the most perfect smoked salmon, and a delightful dessert. Will definitely stay here again!
