Hilton Garden Inn Toledo Downtown

Lots of small inconveniences led to this overall poor review. Start with front door, the automatic door was broken, it was not fun getting our luggage in. We had issues at check in since we booked with Amex. One of the elevators was broken. In the room cleanliness was good but the bath tissue was almost out and room service only comes every other day. The breakfast was a premium cost yet was terrible quality. Dinner was worthwhile though. Staff was thin and not openly helpful. On day 1 the entry to the convention center was locked, even though staff claimed it wasn't, that was inconvenient. Checkout was an easy process, except no carts were available. For the premium room rate, my expectations were higher. My recommendation is to stay at the Renaissance a block away for less cost and less inconvenience.

Positive: Great location if attending a Mud Hens baseball game. Literally across the street. Negative: Parking / check-in & check/out process. No temporary parking spots to unload and load a vehicle.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Their laundry room and workout room, were also very nice, and convenient. The employee's were all very wonderful, and helpful. The only thing that sucked is, no Hot tub, pool, or breakfast included.. but I would recommend staying here. It's a very nice hotel. I felt safe, and welcomed. The parking garage is where you park, or you can choose to get valet parking.

To be honest, I was not blown away by this Hilton Garden Inn, but my main concern in a hotel is cleanliness. My room was definitely clean as were the common areas. Front desk staff were very friendly, impersonal and made great restaurant recommendations. Shout out the homie who suggested the chophouse for dinner. If you need coffee in the morning, you can dash across the street to the brewhouse. There are a lot of professionals visiting the area for work, so it was definitely a laid-back vibe, not noisy at all. I would stay again.

Used the app to check in but still had to get key cards at the front desk, not sure why but then whats the use of checking in in the app for? Stayed for New Year Eve room 1136 and the view was awesome, facing the river on the side of the neon colored lighted Cherry street bridge. room was clean and comfy. Had two Makers Old Fashioned, was great and perfectly made, had the oysters and unfortunately they tasted watered down, never leave oysters in water before shuckling them. Keep them dry and refrigerated. Ate the complimentary breakfast on the 3rd floor and was ok. See pics.

The room was super clean and modern. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Location was great (connected) for Huntington Arena / Center and Glass City Center. We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, but the bartender was nice. Across the street from Owen's Corning and great views of the river. Solid choice for downtown Toledo.

I don’t normally post negative reviews, but I Very disappointed. Tried shower in evening and morning and water was like warm at best. The fitted sheet on the bed was inside out and clearly too small, as I was unable to get it to reach the corner of the bed. Upon trying to fix sheet, noticed a powdery residue on edge of bed between mattress and box spring. At that point I broke out the iron, pulled bedding back to check for bed bugs. None, thankfully! The ice machine was not working, and when I short stay travel, I use provided shampoo, conditioner and wash. The conditioner was empty. There was no regular coffee provided in room. Only decaf and tea. Not an ideal experience.
