Quality Inn Toledo Westgate

It's a clean and friendly environment. Every time we go there, the staff are inviting. The rooms are always nice and tidy. It's a calm place to relax, not a bunch of noise outside of your room. We've been going to that hotel for sometime now and we never left disappointed.

The hotel staff was extremely attentive to our needs, willing to go above and beyond. The room was comfortable, now carpeting, a few minor items needing repair but beds and bedding were brand new and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, nice selection for continental breakfast. I recommend more AC in the lobby and hallways since it gets stuffy but overall, we were pleased with our stay.

Lady at front desk was an absolute doll, friendly and greeted with huge smile. I was scared to check in after I read the reviews, but to my surprise room smelled great. First thing we did was check for bugs 🐛 thankfully we didnt see no sign of bedbugs(as reviews said this was an issue) Next we checked the sheets in blankets for signs of them not being cleaned or stained up ( as reviews said as well) no issues there. How ever the bed had no give, u felt like you was sleeping on the floor. Sleeping on the floor may have been softer. And the room was cleaned to a sense but the headboard was full of dust and behind the chair was rose petals, there's a pile of dirt/debris where the toliet paper is. So yes house keeping could do a lil better but over all not a bad place.

When arriving at the hotel both beds had dirty blankets and sheets. The one bed set it looked liked someone had peed all over it and the other one had dried up blood all over it. When going to the front desk to ask for clean linen the worked told us to strip the blankets and sheets off ourselves. We did that. After doing so she made us take them to the laundry room and place them in a yellow bin before giving us the clean linen and told us to remake the beds. After all of that I had contacted customer service to make a complaint and ask for a refund. I was then advised that I had to speak to the front desk for a refund. Did that she ensured me that I would get a refund..... Still have yet to receive said refund.

The room was very clean and did not smell like pot...although that was discernible in different parts of the motel. I think the $100 room deposit might be helping. It is an understandable precaution and the money was promptly refunded as promised.

Drove 2.5 hours to get here, come to check in the lady was listening to her music super loud, took for every to get me checked in once she processed everything that’s when she told me about the $100 deposit. Not only am I a choice reward member but I literally drove from Columbus, Ohio to Toledo and did not get up here until after midnight. Remind you I am worn out! After about 20 minutes of going back and forth with this lady I said screw it charge my card I’m worn out and want to go to sleep. She proceeds to give me my room card. I’m on the 2nd floor which is fine however there’s NO ELEVATOR! I literally had to pack up all my stuff and daughters softball bag up stairs and my room was literally all the way down at the end of the hall! Once I got to my room it was hot and smelled horrible! I went to lay my stuff down on the bed and the comforter is dirty so I took it off. The toilet was dirty so I had to clean it. I had high hopes for this hotel because of previous reviews! However I will never stay here again! Never in my life have I ever had to pay a deposit so not only did that cut into my budget but I have to wait 3-5 business days before it comes back to me! SMH! The bed is cheap and very uncomfortable! Definitely needs upgraded! The only thing this room has going for it is the flooring it’s actually very pretty! 1 more thing I couldn’t even watch tv! I tried every input and they would not connect! If I didn’t get this room at the rate I did I would check out tomorrow and go else where. But for now I’m stuck and I’m going to enjoy my weekend watching my daughters tournament!
