Magnuson Grand Hotel and Conference Center - Tyler

DO NOT ! I REPEAT DO NOT! STAY HERE!! The service is horrible! We are having to go through a claim right now because I checked in with multiple People a month ago and we booked 4 different rooms we have been waiting on our deposits back for over a month now NO ONE GOT THERE MONEY BACK! They are scammers and they lied to us all and they stole money from us! Do not waist your money! The rooms were good but they only gave boiled eggs and waffles for breakfast!

The property was dilapidated in places. trash and dirty. water faucet in bath ran continuously. The room felt dingy. the bathroom door was broken at the bottm and just painted over. I feel like I over paid by $50 not a good value. The so called continental brreakfast was not great. the apples were on the not so fresh side. the opther 2 options were oats and a waffle. The noise level was moderate. I could hear everything going on outside. . service was fine. I was only 10 minutes from everywhere I needed to be so that part was good.

Positive: The best part about this hotel was getting a refund and getting away from it. I got there at 4 AM in the morning and left at 8 AM the same day. There was no hot water yet these people charged me for a full night. Disgusted. Negative: I cannot stress enough what a disgusting, dirty cockroach, infested, broken down, dump this hotel is. I do not know how anybody could spend one night there or they could even call themselves a hotel. I don’t know how they qualify as a hotel.

I concur with everything negative every customer posts on here it is ALL true. I stayed here for 8 months the 1st time from July 1 2023 To march of 2024. Then The second time September 2024- August 2025. They are awful. I never had a working phone, tv or smoke detector and my tub faucet leaked bad . I provided all of my own everything. Even their washer & dryers didn't work the majority of the time I was there. Boy, you better believe they wanted that money up front though. Terrible management.

Booked through chase travel for a medical school interview with my wife. Got in at around 8. Check in was smooth. Room was average. Good for a budget hotel. Shower was leaky and had a weird head but good hot water. Seems clean. Has fridge microwave tv coffee maker. Not bad. I’d stay here again

Positive: "" Negative: When we made it to the room, there was no toilet paper in the restroom. We asked 2 days in a row for a hair dryer and they never gave it to us. They advertised to have continental breakfast and there was nothing but some apples and a waffle maker.

Very very dirty. Had not been truly cleaned in a long time. The breakfast was laughable. The only English speaking staff was at the front desk. Construction going on just above us. Hated that I booked on priceline because there was no way to get our money back.
