Red Roof PLUS+ & Suites Virginia Beach - Seaside

We were pleasantly surprised by how clean, modern, and comfortable the room was. The place looks a bit run down from the outside, but the room was fine! The bed was comfortable, sheets and comforter were clean, the bathroom was spotless, and the floor and table surfaces were clean. Really conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and 7-11. The road is really noisy (even at night) and the curtains don't entirely block out all the light, so those were some drawbacks.

This has been an exceptional stay. The property manager, Lena, is incredibly kind, and as long as you follow the rules, the staff truly goes above and beyond. I was genuinely shocked by how clean the rooms are — it made me realize how much money I had wasted at a nearby Hilton-affiliated hotel with far fewer amenities, less cleanliness, and much less kindness. After escaping domestic violence, this stay has meant more to me than they know, especially during the holidays. Every single person here is kind — from housekeeping and the parking lot crew to the front desk, day or night. There isn’t an unfriendly face on the property. The location is fantastic and very convenient: a laundromat is nearby, and a walkable 7-Eleven is right across the street. It’s also extremely service-animal friendly. If your dogs are legitimate service animals and you pick up after them, the staff treats them like their own. My dogs especially loved the balcony rooms — they could sunbathe, watch the lake, and even see the beach, which gave them great mental stimulation. I was also given a helpful list of the best local restaurants and even recommendations for a nearby dog park. The staff has truly seen it all — please be kind to them. They deserve it.

My daughter, son-in-law and I spent the night here. Clean room, good location and price was good. Only thing is that is showed ocean view. Well, if you want to see the ocean you had to look over the balcony. Not happy about that but everything else was good.

We love this hotel. It’s been renovated. So very clean. The beds are so incredibly comfortable! The staff is always so kind, courteous and very helpful. It’s across the street from the beach. Their complementary breakfast is nice too. This is our second time here after two years and it’s still holding on to its cleanliness and upkeep. We highly recommend this Inn for a great night sleep and an overall pleasant stay.

Red Roof Inn at VA Beach was nice, not as close to the beach as I was hoping but a nice hotel nonetheless. We stayed in a suite on the 3rd floor and it was a nice room. It had a small kitchen with a refrigerator, two beds and a pull out couch. The room was kind of loud due to the flooring and you had to step over a ledge to get into the bathroom. Other than that the room overall was pretty nice. Service…Nate checked us in and he was friendly and inviting. He let us look at the room before we even started the check-in process. Leonard was such a pleasure and a hard worker.

It was clear that she takes pride in her work and truly cares about the guest experience. Her ability to remain calm, kind, and solution-oriented made a stressful situation feel manageable and reassured us that we were in good hands. Because of Lena, our experience was defined not by challenges, but by how well they were handled. She represents the very best of customer service—someone who treats guests like people, not numbers. We stayed here this past weekend. The suite comfortably fit 3 adults and 2 small kids. Price (compared to all of the other local hotels) was great. Best of all, it was SO clean! We were shocked, considering how much sand must get trecked in with each guest. Beds were comfortable, and they had a waffle iron in the breakfast room (what more could a kid need?). We had an amazing time going to the beach on Saturday, walking to dinner and along the boardwalk Saturday night.
