This has been best motel we have stayed at yet. Rooms are clean love the carpet floors bathroom clean no roaches no bugs very worth it the pool is clean and the best part is the location is not far from restaurants and grocery store. Also they have free breakfast every morning and the breakfast is delicious the sausages are delicious the waffles are awesome they have also cereal and toast and muffins which are good as well. Highly recommend for price and stay. We really love this place a lot it's safe it's quiet and it's just the perfect one so far to me . Great 👍👍👍👍😃😃😃
No frills, typical 2 star accommodations. The beds were clean and the shower was hot! You can see that the property itself is older but the outside doesn’t match the inside. It’s right off the highway and just down the road from Baylor University and an HEB grocery store.
The smell in the room was extremely strong. Whatever it was was intended to smell good but it was overwhelming. You can taste it if you breath through your mouth. I bet whatever it was covering was marginally better than that cheap scent. Despite the hotel appearing to be empty they put us next door to some tweakers that were loud all night. There were only two or three other cars in parking lot. Why stack people on top of each other? I would not stay here again. Visited 12-14-25
Positive: That I was given a room a few doors down from my friends, which is the only thing that made this stay worth anything. Negative: It was absolutely HORRENDOUS. I wrote in detail, every reason; however, I went over the word count. If you are interested, not only can I send you everything in an email, I can send you video and photos to support EVERY CLAIM. It was terrible.
The room was very clean. Restaurants are quite close by, within walking distance. I visited the very close and awesome Texas Ranger Museum. The staff were friendly and available if needed. The Wi-Fi was excellent. No complaints. My 3-day stay went very well.
At check in, I was not informed of any amenities, including breakfast. No info, very unwelcoming. My room has roaches. The sheets had burn stains, despite the property stating they are smoke free. The bathroom was clean though. It was an altogether just okay kind of room/experience until I had housekeeping pounding on the door two different times at 9:30 when my husband was showering and trying to get dressed. Curiously, I got a text that morning at 8:00 asking when I'd be checking out, and I selected 11:00 because that is the check out time. I was on a business call and found the incessant knocking at the door embarrassing. Will not return. I recommend La Quinta or Motel 6 for a better experience on a budget. Not here.
I booked this property online through Expedia, pre-paid. What a mistake! I see now that the property photos on Expedia do not belong to this property. We drove into the property from the side street, which is the back of the property. I was confused and thought the back building was an apartment because there were men hanging out at the stairs to the rooms that face the outdoors drinking beer. The property is a bit secluded. There weren't many vehicles when we arrived, and we immediately started to doubt staying. We approached the front, at night, there were kids still swimming in the pool. The Hispanic lady who checked us in was friendly. We were in an upper room which is only accessible indoors. To enter the building we had to walk up a few concrete stairs with the top stair missing concrete from the edge (a hazard). We had to make sure the door to enter the building closed because it got stuck open. As we entered the building there was a mix of an aromatherapy like scent and an old, musty building. While the carpet looked new, the sub-floors felt old. While the paint appeared fresh, it looked like just another layer of paint to hide underlying issues. The door hinge to our bathroom was loose. I had to lift the door for it to properly close. The "clean" towels had stains. We left for dinner trying to decide whether we take a chance staying and decided we did not feel safe and checked out when we got back. We were expecting to stay two nights and didn't stay even one. The Indian man at the front desk, when I checked out, said I'd have to be responsible for one night, now they are refusing to refund the 2nd night, according to Expedia. Do not use Expedia and do not book here!
