Best Western Plus Elgin - Chicago

Stayed two nights while visiting a friend. I was surprised how updated this hotel was- lots of electronics plugs, decor was up to date and very clean. They offer a pretty decent hot breakfast too and I was a big fan of the coffee machine that made more than just "standard" coffee. Friendly staff and nice room. The only complaint is that the pillows were too soft for me but that’s just a preference. There were some issues with rowdy people waking us up around 12-1 am but that’s not the hotels fault. Would stay again.

Breakfast and location was great. It was newly renovated which is good. The only thing is there was stain in the bathtub. Other than that everything was good.

Very clean and new hotel. The rooms and bathroom were immaculate. All the furniture was in pristine condition. The size of the bathroom was small and we didn’t care for the sink outside the bathroom but it isn’t a deal breaker. The beds were comfortable and the linens and pillows were soft. The towels were a bit rough but I rather have them super clean than soft and they were. The usual breakfast fare was excellently prepared. The eggs were not overcooked and there was a good selection of items.good coffee. The staff was very friendly and appreciative of our patronage. We wil definitely stay there again when we visit our son. Recommend highly.

I had a really good stay at this hotel! The location is a little odd so it was a bit difficult to find but I worked it out fairly quickly. The rooms are pretty nice although a few small things could use a little maintenance. The bed was fantastic and the outside courtyard is adorable! The staff was great as well. I would stay there again if I'm ever back in the area.

I stayed here in late August of 2025. I didn't notice till recently that my business card has been charged amounts to PayPal within a day or two of staying here and went on for months. I only use my card to buy hotel rooms, gas at the pump, and business supplies at hardware stores. I believe after reading another review someone at the front desk stole my card number. Beware.

We were given excellent customer service by the woman Khushi at the front desk during our visit. She was kind and helpful . We will definitely return

I would not recommend this place. Poor planning by them for the amount of people reserved. We were forced to stay here for a hockey tournament by the CCM 200x85 tournament team. This hotel knew they were fully booked a few weeks ago and did not figure things out in advance. When we checked in there was 1 person working with a lobby full of people. No sheets were available for the pull out couch. When we pulled out the couch for my kid to sleep in it had rice, a raisin, what I hope was pepper all in it. We went to fold the mattress to shake it into the garbage and the brand new garbage can bag had chewed gum in it. I tried to call down but was put on an endless hold due to only 1 worker. My husband went down there and there was countless customers trying to get sheets, towels or room items fixed. Our shower had something orange and textured in the bottom of it and room 262 has a really funky smell to it ( it was strange enough for a hockey family to notice) it was like an old milk smell. Some outlets work while others do not, there was plenty of them so we were able to find enough. My lights worked but other families in our group had non working lights, leaking air conditioner units, and shower issues. Yes renovations were done but not done well. The bed was comfortable and the coffee maker is a good touch. The amount of money we were stuck paying for this tournament was for sure not worth it.
