Extended Stay America Suites- Wichita - East

I received immaculate service, they cleaned my room weekly, completely. They were conscious of all tenants and made sure everyone was respected. The maintenance team was quick to fix anything accurately, and they were accommodating in any way they could be. Highly recommend. I stayed for 4 months or more, and no complaint.

Positive: Front desk staff was friendly, location was great. Negative: The room was not very clean. The mattress cover had multiple stains on it, the couch was stained, and the desk chairs were filthy - I don't think anyone would sit on them.

I chose this hotel because I stayed here a couple of years ago & loved it. The love dimmed at check-in. I was informed there is now a mandatory $100 refundable deposit for all reservations. This wasn't mentioned when I booked the room on Priceline and I didn't appreciate the surprise. My room was clean, but sub-standard. There is no carpet, only laminate flooring. The bed is so close to the air conditioner/heater that the person sleeping on that side has to maneuver awkwardly. The air conditioner/heater & the bathroom vent are quite loud when operating. There is no counter space in the bathroom. However, the water pressure in the bathroom is fantastic & the bathroom decor is terrific. The shower inserts have plenty of shelves. Grab-n-Go breakfast is also a welcome surprise, during the pandemic. Hotel staff hands you your choices from behind the counter, which ensures safety.

Good was the bed was comfortable, temperature of the room was fine. Came across some friendly workers. Location in Wichita is great. Bad was the entry alone into the hotel, no sliding glass door or anything like that, then you follow through into the lobby and then again into a very small door. An extended stay hotel usually comes with quite a lot of luggage, so that was a struggle. The floor to our room did not look like it had been mopped or even swept with a broom. I was finding clumps of hair/dust in the middle of the entryway. The refrigerator was basically a freezer. The knob to control the temperature had been frozen over. So we had to thaw all our stuff in the morning. I went downstairs in the morning for some milk since ours was frozen and the front desk worker seemed astonished that I would even ask such a question. Lol responded with a genuine "noooOooOo". I also must add that the vent in the bathroom that comes on when you turn the light on was so loud it really did sound like a jet engine from across Webb St. or something. Proposterously loud. I do have auditory stimulation issues but even my husband agreed it was absurdly loud.

Sherita in front office is amazing. New owners don't care about fixing things treadmill, and internet doesnt work currently, nor does laundryfacility, coffee for advertised breakfast..1/2 time of month stay did not work...and me leaving early due to a dv dispute on my floor that scared me...left me still paying for several nights...due to new management. New management seems money hungry as opposed to caring. Sherita, in front offive is a treasure only reason Id ever come back. Sad people come in and destroy human connection and stare at dollar signs. Love to.you Sherita.

Dirty room on arrival—unmade beds, full trash cans, and roaches. Front desk told us to wait in the room while it was cleaned instead of moving us. Loud hallways all night. Completely unacceptable. Will never stay here again. Not somewhere we will ever stay again. When we arrived, we were given a room key and went up to find the room filthy. The beds hadn’t been made, trash cans were full, and there were roaches crawling on the floor. When we informed the front desk, we were told to wait in the dirty room while a cleaner came, instead of being moved to another room. We literally stood there and watched the cleaner change the bedspread, wipe down cabinets, swap towels, and leave. The entire experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. On top of that, kids were running up and down the halls all night. Overall, the stay was a complete disaster. Never again.

Does not offer plates, cooking things, utensils, bar of soap, nothing. Absolutely nothing. I requested from the front desk (as it is advertised) and she stated, "we do not provide anything." Customer service at the front desk is curt and neglectful. I have been a traveler nurse for years and never went anywhere that charged high prices for extended stay and then provides nothing.
