Quality Inn South

This is a terrible place DO NOT STAY HERE🤬This is going to be long but rightly so. It all started with check in, I was informed that they charged a $50.00 incident charge, I could either put it on card and would get it back in 7-10 working days or pay cash and get it back in the morning? Put it on card. Couldn’t get ground floor and no elevator, no locks on outside entrance to hotel and no lighting outside. Got to room lights didn’t work TV didn’t work, absolutely filthy. Found trash under and around bed while checking for bed bugs. Room all torn up see pictures! Charges started popping up on credit card, we were billed $230.82 for a quoted $80.00 room. When I went down to check out the next morning, a Spanish speaking lady tells me that front desk is not open until 3.00 pm and cannot get a receipt. She just kept saying Bye-by Bye-bye. If I would have paid cash on the deposit how would I ever gotten it back?? I have stayed in a lot of crappy motels but this is the worst I have ever experienced 🤬🤬 DO NOT STAY in the fleabag hotel no matter what. Sleep in your car if you have to, would be much better than this place. I would think that Choice Hotels would condone such establishments in their chain.

I made a reservation from the road when we were about an hour away but did not stay at this hotel after seeing it upon arrival. There was no Quality Inn signage, poorly lit lot, one car w a flat tire in the lot. It looked uninhabited and unsafe. My husband and I chose to forfeit our points to drive further down the road and stay somewhere else. This hotel was definitely NOT a 'quality' inn.

Positive: Really the unexpected spooky aesthetic. It could be the set of a horror flick - was interesting in that regard. Everything felt other worldly and just off. Twilight zone. Negative: They took an inordinately long time to check us in. First red flag. The decor was 70’s- not retro, legitimately had not been updated since the 70’s. Our first room when we were finally given a key had no AC. we were (somewhat) promptly moved to the eerie

This place needs SHUT DOWN! Safety is NOT A PRIORITY! NO HEAT! FIRE HAZARD! Windows are bolted shut! DIRTY linens. Rooms smell of smoke and B.O. NO BREAKFAST just moldy fruit. When you get there you manually have to push the sliding doors open. Then wait forever after calling a number posted for someone to come help. The furniture is stained and mold is everywhere. The locked doors to the other entrances are not locked. Linens and beds are stained and smelled. The laundry machine is broken. There was broken glass all over the end table. The pull out couch didn't even have cushions that belonged to it. The only part somewhat clean was the restroom!!!

We had reservations for three adults - only one towel & wash cloth! Didn’t receive a receipt! Very poor customer service ! Room needs maintenance repairs and a thorough cleaning! Arrived before 9 PM and left at 7AM and never received more towels and wash clothes! Would never recommend this place to anyone!

Price was fine for a Friday night, came in at 1 am, had to wait for the front desk to wake up and come down for about 10 minutes. When we arrived at the room, all the doors were open, we were told that the carpets were cleaned, and the rooms as well as the corridor smelled awful. Asked for late checkout at 12pm, instead the stupid housekeeping came at 9 am and started banging at the door, asking when we will be heading out. Not enough towels for 2 people in the room, so expect to bring your own if you want to dry up in the morning.

By far the worst ever hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. I had to get my room switched because the original room they placed me in was literally disgusting and CLEARLY hadn’t been cleaned. The toilet was not clean at all. Ohh and breakfast is a LIE😂 they put out moldy bananas and 3 oranges first come first serve. The staff are rude. If you’re traveling and just looking for something cheap and clean this is NOT the place to go. The doors don’t work. My room didn’t even have light bulbs because "someone stole them" that’s what the front desk told me. Ohhhh and NO refunds. This place is a Joke.
