Arriving at Ms Sophie’s B&B is so much more than arriving at home; it’s like discovering a family member that we didn’t know we had. ||Her large, historic house is decorated with a lot of love to detail and it takes you back in time, maybe even a century in time. (Okay, that would be 1924 from the time of this review.)||Ms Sophie’s generosity and talent to fix numerous varieties of different breakfasts, and more, is unmatched. My first overnight stay at a historic inn was in 1989, in Edenton, NC, at the Outer Banks. We have stayed at many historic inns over the decades, most all of them very highly recommendable, but Ms Sophie’s is unmatched. Even when I add them all up, she’s still at the top. ||When you meet other guests during your stay in her backyard for a late afternoon snack, that Ms Sophie prepared especially for this time of day, you will very likely find yourself canceling your dinner plans and continue chatting with her and the guests and padding the dog. This is time well spent. This is quality life time. ||It’s Ms Sophie’s big heart that makes the difference. ||We’ll be back if God permits.

My wife and I stayed two nights and absolutely LOVED every minute. This beautiful home in Wilmington's historic district is lovely. The breakfast was very good and I slept like a baby both nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with Sophia during breakfast! We will be back for sure.

Sophie was a wonderful hostess; extremely accommodating. The house is a museum itself! Absolutely beautiful inside and one could spend hours admiring her unique collection of historical and authentic details and antiques. I had a great time with my Mother, who was visiting from Plymouth, MA.

Sophie welcomed us w open arms altho we were very last minute making reservations. We've never been to a B&B so we really didn't know what to expect. Turned out to be a wonderful 2 nights in Wilmington and its Sophie herself that makes all the difference. Thank you Sophie.

Absolutely the best B&B ever! The hospitality is worth 10 stars. Sophie immediately makes you feel like family. Plus, her breakfasts will fill you up for the whole day. We will be back. Thanks, for a great weekend, Sophie! We had a blast!

Sophia was outstanding!! We could not have asked for a better host. If you are planning too travel too Wilmington anytime soon you should stay with her.. she will make you feel right at home. We will definitely be back… love her and the place!!!! ❤️

I don't often give 5 stars, but this B&B deserves every one of them - and more! We fell in love with the garden and found it a delightful place to relax; we also appreciated the location, very convenient. Sophie is a wonderful hostess; she thinks of everything - and more! She serves an excellent and generous breakfast - and more! She clearly cares about her guests; we will be back.
