Absolutely horrible!! Will not go back. The room was hot. Air running on high constantly and just didn't cool the room. I don't think the rooms were ever properly cleaned. Inches of dirt all around the baseboards. Bathtub dingy. Spots on walls and ceilings that I don't even want to think about what that is! Black mold in bathroom around tub and top of wall along ceiling. The only good thing is that we didn't see any bugs!! So I hope there wasn't anything.

I see a lot of bad reviews here, and I'm not sure why. It's not the greatest place I've ever stayed in - but the staff were VERY polite - The rooms have no bugs - I had no problems or annoying neighbors. The internet worked perfectly and there was always coffee downstairs. It was worth every dime and I have revisted this place everytime I come into Winston. I think more people should appreciate what is offered here for the rate offered. This is a very decent place in a great location!

The first thing I noticed was that the front desk staff was amazing. I dealt with the absolute sweetest lady at the desk that I have ever encountered at a hotel. The process was quick and easy, and very pleasant.||The hotel is old, and that is evident in the buildings and the layouts; however, it is well maintained, and clean. ||The hotel does have long term renters, and there are some people that just seem to hang around the building entrances, but everyone I encountered was pleasant. ||This is definitely a no frills hotel, but it's clean and orderly, it has a free breakfast, and I would definitely stay here again.

Do not stay here. It says kid friendly ha ha what a joke. So we arrive and the stinch in the hallway reeks of marijuana. We went to the room and there were cochroaches crawling everywhere. My daughter isn't very old and she thinks she can order room service and picks up the phone the lady is very snobby and said she couldn't be playing on the phone. Room keys may work but may not. It was hot outside and my kids and some others in the hotel decided they would have an ice fight. Kids are not welcome here. They kicked us out and let the other people stay. I don't think they like interracial couples. Staff is so rude cleaning lady when we asked for clean sheets got an attitude and called me names guess they didn't know Americans can speak spanish also. $270 a week i shouldn't be changing my own sheets. Avoid at all costs

The first room I was given was dirty. You could tell that there was a fridge there but had been taken out. Trash was on the floor...didn't look like the floor had been vaccuumed. Gave us another room and the floors were vaccuumed but the lamp didn't work, there was no smoke detector in the unit, still no fridge or microwave. U asked for non smoking but clearly they smoke in the unit. There was an ash tray in unit. There was only one wash cloth and the beds had no blankets. When we got ready to lay down, the sheets weren't clean. The tub had some sticky looking tape that was stuck to the bottom of it. I will never stay at this hotel again! For what I paid I expected more! Need another cleaning staff or management.

Great service at the front desk. Had to wait an hour for a room. The room was ok for just a over night stay they did have a nice selection of breakfast items. So over all it was just an ok stay . But not in the nicest of area's.

I stayed there this pass weekend. My first time in Winston-Salem. Not a bad places for the money. Although there are some thing Ihave a problem with like the pillows. Two people's one pillow apiece and the shortage of towels for the bathroom. Oh and one more thing needs carpet cleaning or carpet fresh. Smell mildew
