The Hawthorne Inn & Conference Center

I had a great stay at The Hawthorne Inn. The room was super clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The whole place was very quiet, which made it easy to relax. The nostalgic décor was a wonderful touch and really added to the charm of the stay. The only downside was that I thought breakfast was included, but it ended up costing $10, advertising felt a bit misleading. Aside from that, everything was excellent. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely stay again.

Excellent stay! Hotel is well kept, beginning with the lobby. Staff welcoming and so very helpful. Room was spacious, very clean, and neat. Comfortable bed and linens, and everything needed for stay including a spacious workspace with plenty of connectivity. The buffet breakfast is an especially great value: reasonably priced, well kept and delicious. I will definitely choose Hawthorn Inn again for any stay in Winston-Salem. It's easily accessed from Hwy 421 and in close driving proximity to downtown, shopping, etc.||Special thanks to those whom I obtained specific assistance: Brianna at the front desk who also helped me by phone prior to arriving and so helpful and pleasant upon arrival, Deanthony also at the front desk who happily and cheerfully greeted me the following morning and helpful with a Wifi connection, and Jasmine in the Buffet Room who was helpful and answered my questions as well as being a pleasure to talk to. These people are a vital selling point for providing excellent service!

Excellent Stay & Outstanding Front Desk Service We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making our visit very relaxing. The location was convenient, and all amenities met our expectations. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the front desk representative, named Anthony. He is very professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful from check-in to check-out. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Outstanding customer service makes all the difference, and this team truly delivers!

Positive: Location - easy on/off highway Negative: checking in the front and unloading in the back up a small flight of steps? Even with the ramp, there’s a curb to lift the luggage onto. ‘tap’ technology is necessary. The toilet felt like I was at a community pool with no tank and we had 2 towels for 3

Nice pool. Upscale feel in the lobby and main hallway area. Breakfast was okay but there were some things missing like milk for the cereal. The desk staff and dining room staff were very helpful. The front desk folks happily solved the one issue we had with our room. Easy walking distance to Old Salem, a couple of restaurants, a hip bakery, and if you're willing to walk 10-15 minutes also walking distance to Kaleidium (fantastic hands-on kids museum/activity place). The room was a little dated and a bit worn out, but for the price and the overall hotel experience, I don't have any big complaints about this.

I did not stay here but I have to give the staff an A++ with customer service regarding a medical issue I had. I as unable to stay at The Hawthorne and had to cancel my reservation day of. They were very understanding and every time I had communication with one of their staff, it was always courteous and professional. I completely expected to get screwed over and the exact opposite happened. Thank you to The Hawthorne. I will absolutely be using y'all the next time I am in Winston- Salem. Thank you again.

The location was good and the staff was super friendly. The room and facilities in general were very clean. The room was spacious with a nice desk and a small table. However, the hotel was a little out of shape. Much of it seemed in need of a refresh. The wall paper was coming off and the toilet was leaking. The toilets were so loud when flushed the whole building heard every time someone went. The beds weren’t all that comfortable. The room was stuffy even after running the AC for a bit. The bathroom was rather small. Not sure I’d return but we were just passing through and it was a great deal for the night.
