IThis hotel had awesome customer service. Everyone from the front desk staff to the maintenance personnel were attentive to my needs. I did not encounter a single worker that did not smile, speak, ask if my stay was going well, and if there was anything that they could do be of assistance. The hotel provides a convenient walk to the Benton Convention Center, and is in walking distance of many local shops and restaurants. During my stay I had an issue with the air conditioner and within ten minutes of calling the front desk the maintenance man had come and made the repair. There was a damp/mildew odor in the room but the maintenance man was unable to determine where it was coming from. It did not seem as apparent after he changed the filter so I am not sure if that was the problem. Aside from that the room was very clean and comfortable. The only other drawback was that this hotel does not have microwaves in the rooms. I eat out when on these trips and often have food leftover. I was unable to eat my leftovers because I did not have a way to warm them up. A slight inconvenience but none the less I enjoyed my stay. Again, the customer service was top notch and warrants a round of applause.

I have been spending quite a bit of time in Winston Salem as my husband is being treated at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. This Marriott is absolutely wonderful! The facility needs a little facelift, but it is clean and the staff really makes it wonderful. From being greeted by the wonderful team of Valets - particularly the red headed gentleman, Tucker, to the front desk staff and the restaurant staff everyone is super nice and accommodating. The chef is amazing! Great food every time and the bar tenders are so nice!

I don’t normally leave reviews. This review is specifically about The Butcher and Bull restaurant here. Staff was great, the food was very blah. My 1 star is about the short staff.. there was only one server here, the young lady working M Club came over to help. They were both lovely. I asked for a manager to compliment the server doing her best but there was no manager on duty. That’s odd being it was pretty busy for a Monday morning. She wasn’t able to serve and host. I felt sorry for the staff because the server seemed fairly new. I stay here often and the managers just seem to be nonexistent when needed. Housekeepers also seemed to be treated poorly here too, I won’t be staying again.

Good afternoon, I finally got time to post this from my experience last month. I have stayed at this hotel for the past few years to play in the Carolina Cup Soccer Tournament. Never had any issues until I went in Dec 2025. I ordered room service in between games, fried chicken sandwich. The actual meal took an hour to come which was longer than expected but they could be busy, so not a major issue. What was a major issue was the chicken was RAW (see picture). I had to drive 40 mins to Greensboro for my relocated game afterwards, not knowing if I was going to be sick. I took the meal to reception and showed them. I paid over $400 in total for my stay but you did take the chicken sandwich off my bill I think. All I would say is please invest in a food thermometer to avoid anyone else having this experience. Happy New Year

I am loyal to this hotel and Ashley the reservation manager is fantastic and the front desk and valet staff impeccable. This is my hotel in Winston-Salem but this trip the housekeeping and assistant GM Courtney was a miss. The suite was not cleaned for 2 days and when it did get cleaned it was cleaned at. Out of my 9 day stay only 2 of the days did it really get cleaned properly. The bedroom AC has been an issue for over a year and still is. They need to change the thermostat. Now Courtney the assistant GM I asked for her to call my room twice while I was there she never did. I also asked upon checkout to speak with her. They said she was in meetings and would call me. Well still no call back. Also not one offer of any compensation for the inconvenience. Also M club had zero service all week including yesterday and today. Also the coffee machine is always broker. I love this hotel even though its dated but disappointed this visit. Im a titanium elite and will be Ambassador by end of year. Courtney needs to learn how to treat elite guest because it seems she doesn't. As I said the rest of the staff was amazing. Also I gave all the staff a holiday gift upon check-in including Courtney and her blowing me off is not the Marriott way.

My daughter and I stayed while performing at Dance revolution. We initially reserved 2 nights on the club level. A week before our trip we decided to stay one extra night. There were two different reservations but the staff were accommodating and they allowed us to stay in the same room all three nights instead of having to move rooms. They also upgraded our room from one king to a double queen room when I had an extra person join us for the stay. Room service was amazing and made sure we had plenty of towels and blankets. My daughter enjoyed that the staff when cleaning the room made the bed with her blankets from home to make her feel more comfortable. I was a little disappointed that the lounge that served food, snacks and h'dorves was closed on the weekend because we were factoring access to food due to the nature of our stay being very athletic and refueling being important. I mentioned this to the staff at the restaurant and they gave us vouchers for the restaurant that was open to ensure we had what we needed. I also signed up for a Marriot bonvoy credit card with a perk of a free night each year. The credit for the free room was not applied and I asked the front desk staff what could be done. With no trouble the staff put a note in for the manager to fix this on Monday morning and by midday on Monday without me having to call it was done! Wonderful experience. Thank you.

I reserved a room at the Marriott Winston-Salem for one night through the Marriott app. My wife and I were on our way to Asheville for New Year’s, and I thought this would be a good stop to explore the area before continuing the trip. We are Titanium Elite members, and I still had a few Suite Night (upgrade) rewards available. After booking, the app wouldn’t allow me to apply the upgrade, so I emailed the hotel to ask if one could still be used. I also mentioned that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and our 15th anniversary.|When we arrived, the front desk associate thanked us for being Titanium Elite and told us she had upgraded our room. She then wished my wife a happy birthday and mentioned she had received my email — which was very much appreciated.|The room was an excellent upgrade. It included a small kitchenette, a family room with a couch and large TV, and a dining table that could seat six people. The bedroom was spacious with another TV, and the bathroom was a nice size with a walk-in shower. Everything was very clean and well maintained.|The only negatives were related to lighting. The family room could really use more lighting, as there was only one lamp behind the couch. During the day it’s fine with natural light, but at night it felt dim. Also, there is no light switch between the bedroom and bathroom, so we had to leave the shower light on because the hallway to the bathroom is very dark.|One nice bonus is an excellent Mexican restaurant located right outside the hotel’s front entrance. The food was very good and made for a convenient dinner option.|Overall, a great stay with a fantastic upgrade and attentive service. We would definitely stay here again.||Also after returning from dinner we came up to our room and there was a wonderful cheese and meat board on the coffee table with a Happy Birthday card for my wife. Very generous!!
