If you find a weekend night in Minneapolis, I highly recommend going here. I've been many bars but never to a place quite like this.
An amazing club but definitely not for everyone. They have love DJs and dancers every Saturday night. The atmosphere is great and the patrons are wonderful. There are some adult performances that definitely make this place the wrong venue for many people.
As a trans female from Australia, and I travel all around the US and Canada and Europe and coming from a former military and law-enforcement background and working as a fetish model and content creator. The impression on this club that the Front door staff security were very unwelcoming, which doesn’t give an element of attracting people visitors to come to the club. The Cover charge at the front door was $15. Horrible service by a blonde older female bartender that I received attitude from when ordering a drink who served me a water when I was ordering a Coke then she gave me attitude, you’ll have water. I finally was able to get a Coke and was charged $5 for a post mix coke. Which is ridiculous. There’s are constant bad reviews about of this bartender and staff, especially the rude unwelcoming behavior that you get from this club, especially it being a gay nightclub, sort of. I immediately left After I finished My drink. I wasn’t impressed with club atmosphere and the element as someone tried to spike my soda. Not a safe club if this situation happens. Staff, they really don’t care about your welfare or your safety even though the security they oblivious to the things that are going on and not really doing their job.
If I could give this place zero stars I would! We went to Ground Zero for a fun night and it started off great until my fiancé had a seizure for the first time in his life. He had been grabbing me my drinks up at the bar for the hour we had been there so I could dance and enjoy myself. Luckily our group had stayed close by him when he was up at the bar because next thing we know he had went down. We got him up after the incident and we tried to sit him down in a nearby chair and we were going to try getting him some water but before we knew it, security was already kicking us out. He couldn’t even see clearly at this point and he very clearly needed medical attention. I understand that people may drink too much at times or do other substances but that was not the case here. The people working there didn’t even care to ask or get us help. They literally just kicked us out. Had they helped us like a good person should, they would have found out that he had no drugs and very little alcohol in his system. Medical records could show this. The complete lack of compassion and basic human decency from the employees was shocking. Instead of helping someone in distress, they treated us like a problem to be removed. It was an awful, traumatic experience, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ground Zero clearly cares more about money than the safety or well-being of its guests. I will make sure everyone knows about our experience on all platforms as this was a terrible experience!
I give this place zero stars. I was at Ground Zero Nightclub this past Saturday for about an hour with friends for Halloween weekend. We went up to the bar where one of my friends was about to order drinks for himself and his fiancée, when all of a sudden, he either had a seizure or a fainting spell and collapsed. He had zero substances in his system and had hardly been drinking, as we were just starting our night. Once he came to, he was clammy and lightheaded. As we tried to sit him down and get him some water, three security guards or staff members came over, flashing lights at us and demanding that we leave. They were extremely rude and pushy, yelling at us to get out instead of asking if he was okay or offering any help. No one from the staff checked if he needed medical attention. We left as we were being ordered to. I do not recommend going to this place. No help or compassion was shown, and the bartenders were rude as well. Do not waste your money here!
I have to say I was very disappointed in the staff at Ground Zero. The atmosphere and decor was different and interesting but the music sucked as well as the drinks for how expensive they were, and the staff were very unwelcoming and rude. My group arrived at around 10:15 Saturday night on November 1st and had been there no more than an hour when one of my friends in my group had a fainting spell or seizure, we are not really sure what happened, one moment he was standing next to me at the bar ready to order a drink for my friend ,his fiancé, in the group and the next thing I know he’s on the ground and he hit his head pretty hard, there was absolutely no drugs and very little alcohol in his system, luckily he woke within a few seconds we brought him to a chair to get him some water and so he could rest for a bit while we assessed him, his vision was blurry and we could see his skin was clammy and face was pale, before we could ask him if he was okay or get him water two staff rudely came up to us and kicked us out, stating "it’s time to go." "you need to leave." And "You guys gotta get outta here." not even bothering to ask if he was okay or needed medical attention, my friend at this point was still recovering from the episode and his vision still wasn’t back to normal and he was still feeling dizzy and faint so we had to basically hold onto him and guide him as we walked out, myself and my friends are very disappointed and upset with how we were treated as we all paid for the cover charge, drinks, were absolutely not causing any problems or doing anything wrong, and were just looking for a good night out. He was also already embarrassed enough with what happened and for them to kick us out as if he was trying to fight someone or was causing problems was very unprofessional, we were going to be leaving anyway once he got some water in and he could walk and see, I will not be going here again and will be telling people to not waste their time here.
Ground Zero is getting a two-star rating because while the workers, drinks, and vibes were great, the bathroom experience completely ruins it. They obviously don’t seem to care much about privacy, since the urinals lack dividers, but the kicker is THE STALLS DON’T HAVE DOORS. They treat the guys like swine, and the girls get nice bathrooms with stall doors and cute lighting, but at the end of the day we’re paying the same price. I don’t care what kind of shenanigans were happening in the stalls, figure something out because I am not taking cash out of an ATM to be given this experience. It’s just not cute and feels primal in a way that bathroom logic exists in your nightmares. I won’t be back because I can’t count on a decent bathroom here.
