Absolutely love ICON. Marcelo and Maggie are two of the absolute rockstars who make this place feel so welcoming every single visit. They remember faces, bring such good energy, and really set the tone for an awesome experience. Places like this only work because of people like them — truly the heart of the place.

The Saturday night drag show at Icon was a highlight of our trip to Astoria! This bar has a friendly, neighborhood feel and was immediately welcoming. The Saturday evening Jackbox games was super fun. Highly recommend!

Marcelo is the best bartender. He has been here for years and I will always come back to see him. He is so kind and so charismatic. Yes maybe there is a lil crush but it’s only because he is so amazing, professional and always smiles. I love ICON!

There are a lot of fun gay bars in Astoria, but I’d have to say that Icon is my favorite. Not only is the drag and overall vibe stellar, but the bartenders really make an effort to build community. Marcelo, among other rockstars, has managed to not just curate a fan club, but also establish a safe space for queer locals to drink, laugh, and support one another. I’m grateful both for the family I have made at this establishment and the staff that made this possible.

Love ICON! A great go to place in Astoria with a great staff that are always happy and excited to see you. Shoutout to Marcelo, Rodrigo, Filup, Misty, Rafa, and Alex for making me laugh and smile over great drinks time after time. ❤️

Lovely bar with great bartenders and entertaining and welcoming drag queens every night. I love coming to Saturdays for Game Day with Avant Garbage! Very fun and have returned many times.

Icon is my favorite spot in Astoria! Special shoutout to Marcelo who always does the most to make everyone feel welcome! He has an amazing energy and always helps you find a cocktail if you’re unsure of what to drink and always remembers what you had last time ! The drag performances are incredible with one of the best stages and lighting in all of NYC. Be sure to not miss Misty Mountains! Her shows are always unique, eclectic and entertaining, a stand out in the NYC drag scene for sure.
