Customer Reviews
Kiki has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 based on over 120 reviews on Google
Nice enough place, spacious meaning not overcrowded, staff are friendly and helpful. Big negative is their very deceptive checkout policies. When you swipe a card you’re presented with an option to tip, in and of itself not a terrible thing of course you should tip your server, what they don’t tell you until after you’ve entered your tip amount is that they have a mandatory, can’t opt out, automatic gratuity already added to your bill. So you’re tipping twice. I tip very well normally. On a $10 drink I’ll likely tip $5. My drink, a "double," was so weak it was like drinking lemon flavored water not a gin and tonic. After paying and adding a tip I was told there was a 18% gratuity. This made me very angry. I’m an individual. Mandatory gratuity is generally reserved for large groups. I did not express my anger to the bartender because it isn’t their fault. However this bears sharing with the public. Unlikely to attend another event there.
I was having a good time until my sister and I went to get drinks at the bar on the first level. The bartender was extremely rude. My sister tapped her card and it didn’t work the first time, and as we were walking away, he started yelling at us. Even after we paid, he continued to be rude and was hurling profanity at us, just completely disrespectful. The bartender was an Asian man with a low bun, wearing a red flannel.
Multi level LGBTQ+ dance club & bar on U Street. Not wheelchair accessible (at least 4 steps to a bar & outdoor drinking area and a full flight of stairs to a dance floor). Male dominant but trans, non binary, and female friendly. NO smoking inside or on the patio area Friendly bartenders. Good music (pop Top 40 remixes)
A great gay bar in the heart of the U Street corridor, multiple levels, huge outdoor patio and an amazing upstairs dance club. Regular drag shows are always a hit, and the staff are great! Check it out if you've never been.
$100 for 3 Regular Drinks?! I went last Saturday and ordered vodka + Red Bull all night—$47 for 3 drinks. That was fine. But at the end of the night, the bartender took advantage of the fact that we were tipsy/drunk and charged us $100 for 3 drinks. "Double " The price is not logic. I’ve never seen a place that automatically charges a 20% "service fee." Mandatory "auto-gratuity" is actually illegal under the DC Consumer Protection Amendment—you can’t force people to tip.
We love having Kiki as a DCGFFL sponsor! The support means a lot to our league, and it's the perfect place for grabbing a drink with the teammates after a game. The atmosphere is always electric, the staff is fantastic, and it's the perfect place to unwind. Grateful for the partnership and looking forward to many more seasons together!
Amazing atmosphere. Staff is welcoming and great music and drinks! No cover for Friday night. Will be back soon!!
