An excellent antique and vintage shop. Clothing, home goods, accessories, jewelry, books, records, furniture, lighting...this place has a little bit of everything. All items are well-cared for and clean. This is not a rummage sale, a thrift store, a garage sale, or a bargain basement. The owner knows the value of the items that they have, and you are paying a fair price to take these niche and less-common items home with you today. It is one of the best curated collections of vintage and antique that I've seen in years in Brooklyn and Queens! Thoughtful and inviting space with lots of treasures. Sure, you can probably find lower cost "hidden gems" at thriftier stores throughout the boroughs, but the owner of this store has already done the work of finding and curating the collection. They have a vinyl reward program with punch cards--love it! The owner is willing to help try to source specific items. And the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I know some people don't like staff to hover, but in a vintage and antiques store you need to keep your eyes on inventory for theft and accidental breakage, as well as being readily available for service-related questions. These employees do their jobs well! There when you need them, offering service and advice or knowledge about the items, but they can also take a hint when you're preferring to shop without as much assistance.
Been coming here regularly for a couple years now. It’s my favorite vintage store in the city — and aside from the very well curated clothing, jewelry, furniture, records, etc — it happens to have one of the best sound systems I’ve ever encountered outside of a dedicated music venue. Also, some of the friendliest staff you’ll ever meet work here
Dove and Isabel are the absolute best, not to mention the treasure haven that Brooklyn Vintage is! So many beautiful things, all at incredible prices. I will be returning as often as I can, cannot recommend this place enough. Would live here if I could!
Isabelle and Dove were the absolute best!! I have a show next week and they made it their duty to make sure I was on theme and looked amazing !!! 10/10 love it here so much, will definitely be back!
Yes, the sales people here are on top of you and overly hovering and asking if you need help. It was a bit much for me too. As I prefer to check out a place by myself…(if i wanted to shop with someone I would bring a friend.) I think they were super friendly and just wanted to make sure customers were being helped. Bushwick is still very much Bushwick, there are tons of thefts, drug dealing and crime in the area. They might have even had a theft and lost $$$. It’s a small biz, and that can be a big blow to numbers. STORE is not racist, they treat everyone like that.
I cannot recommend this spot enough. Furniture, knick-knacks, jewelry, clothes, rugs, furs, glassware, chemistry sets, all extremely well curated and fairly priced. The staff are knowledgable, welcoming, and queer friendly.
The positive reviews are all accurate. Brooklyn vintage company has a huge selection of reasonably priced TREASURES, the staff is lovely and so helpful! They are willing and able to find you the vintage pieces of your dreams and actively search for them with you. The owner, Cat is the coolest chick, she was key to me finding my WEDDING DRESS! What a score. I will be back.
