Souma at Macy’s in Westfield Topanga provided excellent service. As soon as I walked into the store, she greeted me warmly and was very attentive. She took the time to help me find the best pair of pants I was looking for and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. She truly deserves 5 stars. I had a really good experience at Macy’s and wanted to mention Souma because she helped me during my visit. She was very friendly and patient, and she took the time to answer my questions and help me find what I was looking for. I didn’t feel rushed, and she was very approachable, which made the whole shopping experience much more comfortable. Sometimes it can be hard to find someone to help in a busy store, but she was attentive and genuinely helpful.

I surprised my wife with a couple pairs of nice shoes for Valentine's day. She saw them, put them back in the box, never wore them or opened the boxes again, appreciated the sweet V-Day though, but decided she wanted a purse from Macy's instead. We tried to return the shoes as soon as possible, but apparently since it had been more than 24 hours since the purchase, they were unreturnable! I was not verbally given this information at the time of purchase and was unaware of the policy. Additionally, the gift receipt clearly states 30 days (I was returning at the 14 day mark, almost to the minute). The intent was to return the shoes and buy something else at Macy's, however, I will not be returning with my business or my family's business.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Luke in the Boss department at Macy’s, and I was truly impressed by his professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help. He went above and beyond by taking the time to help me tie my bow, something small but meaningful that showed his genuine care for customers. It’s rare to meet someone who treats every customer with such patience and respect. Luke carries himself with a great attitude, a positive spirit, and the kind of helpfulness that makes a lasting impression. Employees like him represent Macy’s perfectly — courteous, professional, and dedicated to ensuring every shopper feels valued. I left the store not only satisfied with my purchase but also with a smile because of his excellent service. Macy’s should be proud to have Luke on their team — he’s the type of associate who keeps customers coming back.

Macys is my go-to department store for men’s clothing. They frequently have sales and a perennial sales section, I’ve bought all of my last four suits from there, and I get all of my bedding there. This Macys is also good because each department is colocated… you don’t have to go across the mall for a separate men’s section or anything frustrating like that. There is a bathroom on the third floor I think… unfortunately they’ve yet to emplace a Starbucks within. I’m optimistic they will eventually. They’re pretty friendly throughout, and if you’re Persian, there is definitely someone who can help you in that language.

My daughter and I stopped by Macy’s to pick up some Christmas gifts, and it brought back so many memories. Macy’s has always been a staple department store for our family, especially growing up in the Pittsburgh area, where we also shopped at Kaufman’s and Gimbels. I still love the feeling of walking through different departments—from fragrance to home goods—there’s something special about browsing in person that you just don’t get online. That said, I did notice that the in-store selection feels more limited than it used to, with a stronger push toward online ordering. While I understand the shift, it does make me a little sad because it takes away some of that personal, hands-on shopping experience. Even so, Macy’s still holds a special place for me, and I truly hope they continue to keep the in-store experience alive. It’s comforting, nostalgic, and still a place I enjoy shopping—especially during the holidays.
