Le Bar Chicago

I got the steak frites and a few old fashioneds here. The drinks are good but damn does it take forever for service to take your order or to deliver. The steak was $40 for a not so great cut of meat. If my main bars (pippins, Jake Merricks) were open right now I'd be attending those, based on this experience I'd recommend them as a more cost effective choice.

We’ve visited Le Bar on many occasions since we always stay at the Sofitel when we’re in Chicago. I highly recommend the service and attention, especially from the bartender Antonio—he truly makes our experience enjoyable, as does the rest of the staff There’s just one small thing I’d like to mention: at exactly 11 PM, the lights are suddenly turned on, which feels a bit abrupt—almost like being in a low-end nightclub. It kind of disrupts the great vibe everyone is enjoying. I believe a more subtle approach would be more fitting for the elegant atmosphere of Le Bar. That said, we still give 5 stars for the excellent service and the amazing drinks!

We’re guest at the hotel. My Husband and I walked in sat down the waitress continued her conversation with her co worker before greeting us. By the time she came over we had decided to leave and head to Lux bar. She was happy and didn’t care. I believe if we were white we wouldn’t have had this experience. Sad we’re staying here until after Christmas and will have to outsource.

Lovely modern bar in Sofitel hotel. Bartenders are great and able to make unique cocktails. The food here is artfully prepared with a french flair and oh so good. Stop in after a long day and treat yourself.

Pricey, a bit, but it is a really nice looking bar with top shelf selection. The bar’s coubtertop has really fancy materials!

I ate Ceasar salad and Creme Brulee, Creme Brulee was one of the best I ever had, was really good 😋 People were so nice as well 👍

Full of drunk business travelers. My two glasses of wine were good, but for $45!!! They should’ve been superb. I would’ve appreciated being acknowledged by the bartender, but in her defense she was fending off handsy Bob and his friends. The art on the bar was lovely. Won’t return.
