This place has great ambience for a private or intimate place to grab drinks or dinner. You get a beautiful sighting of the city from their glass views, so you can watch the sunset. They also asked for reservations when we arrived but we were able to get a seat around 5pm on a Friday. You can sit at the bar, or have a small party gathering as well.

One of my favorite places in Chicago. My wife and I discovered it as it's close to the CIBC theater. Their cocktails are made impeccably well, you will never be disappointed. Espresso martini and Hugo Spritz are always ordered. Their food is awesome as well, the mushrooms, burger, poke bowl are all great. We love sitting at the bar, it's always a great time mixing it up with others and staff.

This lounge is the perfect to place to stop by for a cocktail layover after work. Shoutout to Angie and Rachel for making the drinks impeccably well and the stay enjoyable. Many laughs were had, and many cocktails were enjoyed! 10/10!

If you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a quality drink, then I recommend this lounge. The atmosphere is calm which is perfect for solo visits or meetings with small parties. The service is attentive and the menu selection is impressive. This place has recently become one of my favorite places to visit in the loop.

Friendly staff, warm environment, strong drinks, amazing ambiance. Lilly server was great to us. Situated in a historical building, real beauty. Great for cocktails after work or to visit the loop.

Awesome vibe, good for business or lil formal post dinner drinks. Great drinks, awesome collection of whiskey and bourbon and everything else. Just one waiter was little difficult, else, everything was amazing.

If you need a bar to chill and relax in, you have to go to Vol. 39! We recently visited Chicago with friends and we wanted a chill spot to hang out in while walking around the city. I found Vol. 39 on Google and chose it because of its great reviews. Super happy I did! It’s on the second floor of the Kimpton Grey Hotel, and overlooks the city streets. It’s library themed with tons of books lining the walls and a dimly lit atmosphere. Incredibly cozy and sophisticated. We didn’t have a reservation but we were able to get a sitting area without one. However, by the time we left around 5:30-6:00pm, everything had a reserved table marker on it. The dirty martini was insanely good. I had 3 of them!! Very well done. The espresso martini was also top tier. Amazing drinks + beautiful ambiance makes this place 5 stars! ⭐️
