Fun vibe and concept with DJ on a Friday night. Range of casual dress to those wanting to impress. Creative cocktails, creative decor, perfect for Insta crowd seeking carriage photo fun. Super small venue. No designated dance floor, but shake that booty!

This spot is a true speakeasy with a hidden entrance (tattoos, anyone?). Once inside, the vibe is both playful & immersive. The walls feature large digital screens looping cinematic scenes that make you feel transported..at one moment, you’re standing in a rain-soaked Wild West town with carriages rolling by, the next you’re peeking into moody, surreal landscapes. Unique seating adds to the experience: we were cozy in the confessional box (perfect for 2), while another group fit comfortably in the carriage (seating 4). A disco ball throws playful reflections across the space, layering modern nightlife energy over the speakeasy’s quirky, vintage feel. The bartenders were attentive & fun, & during our visit there was even a tattoo pop-up happening inside..complete with someone getting inked while sipping cocktails. It’s eclectic, memorable, & one-of-a-kind. We will definitely be back!

Super sweet bar, with absolutely amazing cocktails. We had The Horse with no Name and Golden Hour and loved them. Eva, the owner is super sweet and plans to install a photo booth. 🙂

This place is a vibe. Awesome decor and pretty good drinks but the bartender was a bit tudey. I ordered 2 drinks for my Wife and I while she was in the bathroom. They said they were out of the one for my wife so I turned to ask her as she’s walking towards me and before I could finish my question to her the bartender asks "Is there anything else for this order?!" Thankfully she said whatever you’re having or I would have felt like I was inconveniencing this poor man at the beginning of his shift with a practically empty bar. I’d come back but would make it a point to have a back up drink in mind just in case I happened to bother this guy on another "off night".

If you're ever in the area of The Camp in Costa Mesa, make sure you check this spot out. Enter through the front door. If the door is locked, knock and have your identification ready. Once verified, you walk through the main entrance and pass through a secondary door. The bar is western themed, with a flavor of poodles, hence the name. This is a craft cocktail spot, and fresh ingredients is prepared in-house. The bartenders here are steps above your average bartender, as drinks are well balanced. The bartenders do work off menu, but please refrain from a Captain and Coke or vodka cranberry, and of course, that dreaded Fireball. Step out of your comfort zone and taste the flavors! The staff is very personable and more than accommodating. The ambiance is very cool! Kick back and enjoy the moment! Cocktails only, so plan solid sustenance accordingly. Enjoy!

Cowboys and Poodles is a fun speakeasy that draws you in as soon as you walk through the door. The ambiance is unique and sets the mood without trying too hard. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. The live music adds a nice touch and brings the room to life without being too loud. Whether you’re out with friends or looking for a relaxed place to enjoy a drink, Cowboys and Poodles is an easy choice. I’d happily recommend it.

Wow — I had such a warm welcome from the door girl here. If your goal is to feel talked down to and judged before you even make it inside, this is absolutely the place to go! She must be running the entire operation, given how much authority she clearly thinks she has. It’s almost impressive how someone can turn "checking IDs" into a full-blown power trip. Management might want to remind her that hospitality usually involves being… you know, hospitable.
