Oak St. Drafthouse and Cocktail Parlor

Oak St. Drafthouse in Denton, TX! Small, quaint place that apparently is the third oldest house in the city converted into a bar. Two living room style sitting rooms, decent patio sitting area but I didn't get pics of that area. Also has a dog park but I didn't see it, wasn't really looking for it though. Tons of custom beer and ale with a full bar as well. I had a margarita and it was better than most I've had at other places. First and last time. Worst customer service from a bartender I’ve encountered. We visited Denton during the Spooky Spirit Stroll to discover new bars and restaurants in the area. The establishment was an official event stop on the paid crawl, which ran from 1-5pm. We arrived at 4pm and were immediately yelled at by the bartender saying the bar ran out of the featured cocktail. We asked if there was anything we could sample and were told we could only purchase drinks in a demeaning manner. The bar was not busy and the bartender genuinely wanted nothing to do with anyone involved in the stroll. We bookmarked many of the other stops due to great hospitality and overall experience, but have no plans of returning to the drafthouse due to the poor customer service.

I've been going here since 2016, staff is friendly and drinks are cheap, they always have a great selection and always change it up, their cocktails are great and they have a nice setup outside and inside.

I love chillin’ here with my friends. The staff is cool and the terrace seatings are the best. I’d love to come back to try more variety of beers. It’s so much fun. Usually Japanese drinking place doesn’t have this many menus. So I really appreciate it.

Man, I love this place. What a vibe. So many beers to choose from. Art. Outdoor seating all day and night. Front porch to smoke and watch the cars go by. Gyro food truck out front. Cigars. If you want to get a taste of Berkeley, you have to check those place out. I enjoyed a Yellow Rose IPA very much from Josh.

I find this parlor to be gorgeous. Excellent prices. Decent selection of drinks.

Amazing place with a nice selection of brews. Grant was working and not only suggested some great beers but also was kind enough to spend some time and tell me about some spots to check out in Denton since I was only in town for the day. This place has a large back area and great staff.
