Ray O'Herron Company

I’ve shopped at Ray O’Herrons for many years since 2003. I used to work for the city of WestChester, IL. I remember their old location in Oak Brook off Rosevelt Rd. I’ve been at the new location in Downers Grove a few times. The only reason I’m giving four stars is they are so busy it’s hard for them to answer any questions and I get it. You got all the recruits and what not coming through. But it be nice to have someone who is available to help you. Even on the phone. When you send an email to them, you get a return email that the address is wrong. Other than that it’s great place!!!

All is well until you come back to pick up your paid firearm that you weren't informed you had to call Ray O'Herron's to find out if it's ready or not.... And that they will not call you... I found out after calling, then attempting to go pick up to only be declined due to it being past 30 days. I have to wait again 72 hours to be able to pick up for my paid fire arm after being charged $3.00 for the application renewal. At least I know now that I have to call randomly to find out if my firearm is ready or not, and also pick it up within 30 days so I do not have the unfortunate event of having to go through this again...

Everyone has been awesome! I've worked with multiple staff members who have all been helpful / kind/knowledgeable. I had two separate projects that they worked on with me and they made it super smooth and easy.

I’ve been here a few times and have been disappointed by the customer service. Some interactions felt unprofessional and lacking basic courtesy.

Mike at the gun counter was fantastic! He took the time to answer my questions and even unpacked holster options for my new firearm and light so that I could try them all out... he then told me to take all the time I needed to see what worked for me, and gave me details on the items so I could make an informed decision on a very important duty purchase. Other places definitely do NOT take the time and patience in the also very friendly way that Mike did. I would definitely return here for future needs. Thank you for being great Mike!

Mary & Mike were amazing! They were extremely kind and patient with me. I have a new toy to play with now. I will also take Mary’s advice and put on some size. I’m quite small. 😊❤️

Juanita K. was very helpful with finding my shirt size and getting my measurements all while multi tasking with multpile customers! She was very efficient and courteous. 5 star customer service!
