The Oakland

We hosted our office holiday luncheon at The Oakland, and it could not have been a better experience. During this time of year, they transform the space with their Miracle pop-up, which made the atmosphere absolutely perfect for a festive work event. Even though it’s their busiest season, they were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to host our luncheon. The Owner and General Manager were both extremely responsive and helpful from start to finish. They offered thoughtful suggestions on catering and the ideal setup, and patiently answered every question I had along the way. The staff was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely funny—which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Everyone had a fantastic time and couldn’t stop talking about the ambience. Truly a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend for both private events and a great night out!

Have been here a couple of times. Inventive and excellent cocktails in a dark bar with Gothic overtones. Immaculate vibe. They have several cozy seating areas but if you can get a seat at the bar, take that. The bartenders are excellent mixologists and genuinely nice, welcoming and personable and their interaction really adds to the experience.

great ambiance with good vibes. drink menu has a few staples but otherwise change every so often. i came here with a larger group of friends and the staff was awesome as well!

Luv you guys. These Oakland drinks are better than drinks we used to get at a place in downtown utica. Yes we drive extra to get out to you but worth it. Pink Matter and Hoover are goto but we have loved every drink here. Yes we sit in the chairs with sunglasses on and pretend we are in the matrix. And yes we contemplate our very existence within The Oakland.

This place seems to be a highly popular hangout spot. Recommend proper reservations as the wait times are at least an hour. Loved the drinks. Great spot for casual drinks. Very vintage interiors and dim lighting is the vibe. The music selection is spot on. The drinks are little expensive but yum. I definitely see myself going back. Recommend the place!!

Skye, my bartender, was knowledgeable & attentive. I appreciated her offering me water before I even needed to ask. Loved her recommendation on trying Safeword. It was a delightful choice. Looking forward to my return. The open front that outlooks the sidewalk makes The Oakland the fabulous choice that it is. & the dark Marie antoniette vibe adds to its character

The atmosphere is beautiful. Very dim candle light and the glow of a sparkling chandelier. I found the drinks to be ok. I liked them but didn’t love them. I would go back for a classic cocktail like an old fashioned for sure, but would not test their menu again. The staff was kind and attentive. All in all a great intimate spot for a cocktail.
